I've got a B7510 that I was using and noticed the fuel was low so I turned the tractor off and added fuel that I had purchased in the fall (same time as the fuel in the tractor). Started it back up and it quickly started sputtering and emitting smoke and I turned it off. I figured the fuel might be bad so I siphoned off the fuel, bought new fuel, and although it cranks strong, won't start. There's no smoke. Help!

I suspect it had enough water or gel in it to clog your filter. If it is a clear bowl try removing it and draining. Pay attention to what is in the bowl such as water or gel. Should have a good flow and clean fuel with filter removed. If you can not tell run some in a clear glass (or on flat metal surface works fine) if possible and give it a few moments and the water will bead. If the fluid is clean suspect air. It is possible it has air in the system and you need to bleed it.
If you don't use a stablizer in your diesel fuel you ought to. ....

Thanks. In addition to changing the fuel filter I removed the gas line past the fuel pump and cranked it for a few seconds - at which point it started turning over. I reconnected the fuel line to the pump and it started after a couple smoke filled seconds.
