I wanted to put my loader on my L3830 but couldn't due to hydraulic pressure. With previous tractors I have had I knew how to solve the problem but I can't with my L3830. On my other tractors, the female ends of the hyfraulics were on the tractor and the male ends on the attachment or the implement. My Kubota is reversed. Why is that? How do I get the loader hydraulics connected without having to open each line?

When connecting the loader the same as disconnecting turn off the tractor and cycle the hydraulic valve into all four positions and then try and connect again. When dissconnecting the loader from the tractor it is important to remember to find an area that is large enough for the loader to be extended out the front and the tractor and still level!

With my previous tractors I always did what you suggested Art White. However, I did the same with the L3830 but it didn't have the same results. In the past I knew what to do when the pressure had built up in the cylinders but since the Kubota setup is backwards to my precious experience and opposite to the New Hollands and John Deeres that I looked at this morning I am thinking I need to get rid of the Kubota.

Agree with Art that it is essential to get the loader exteded level with no pressure and engine off. I recently had a difficult time with a BH because I didn't take the pressure off--operator error. If you continue to have problem, suggest you run it by a dealer. I wouldn't hesitate to get rid of a tractor that didn't work, but wouldn't want to see you make a move because of a simple issue. Regards/

That sounds like an expensive solution! You can loosen hoses from the couplers or even from the cylinders or other junctions to keep from having a mess by the control valve to end your problem.

If you don't like the female and male ends where they are, switch them. I agree, my last tractor was set up with the females on the tractor and the males on the implement. Not sure there is any rationalization for having it one way or another. My neighbot set his rears up half/half. One side of the circuit is male on the tractor, the other side is female. I believe from the standpoint of fluid flow, the half/half set-up would be the easiest to justify.
