I have received a price on the B7500 with FEL fold down ROPS
and R4 tires for $12,900.00 plus tax. The B2410 with the same options as above was $14,800.00 PLUS TAX. in the state of Massachusetts
I would like to know what you think of the prices whether they are high or if they are reasonable prices both already include the Kubota rebates. $200.00 for the B7500 and $700.00 for the B2410.
Thanks In advance

I'm not a Kubota guy...like 'em a lot, but I bought a Deere.

However, the prices you quoted beat the prices I got in Maryland and PA last year. This is especially true about the 2410.
For $1900 more, I'd sure as heck go for the 2410!

Are these machines gear or HST?

I bought a John Deere 670. There is a picture of my machine in the CTB Picture page (see the photo link at top of the page).

My first choice was a BX2200 due to it's low center of gravity. This machine, including FEL, HST and MMM would have cost just under $13000. The 7500 and 2410 were about $1000 $200 above the prices you quoted equpted as the BX2200 was.

However, a friend of mine took me to a John Deere dealer he'd purchased a machine from several years earlier (still dealt with them for parts, etc.). He'd seen this very clean 1991 Model 670 FWD tractor setting in the used equipment section of the lot.

We checked the machine out...I drove it (which doesn't prove much, just driving on the dealer's lot). However, it is a very nice machine...included FEL and a Befco 5' finishing mower (less then a year old). There were 600 hours on the clock. The price was $8500. The price included new front tires (couple of gouges in the side walls) and a service.

Since this was considerably less then the Kubota's (although they were new machines), the dealer has an excellent reputation for customer service and both my friend gave the dealer such a great reccomendation...well, that's the machine I bought.

The 670 is a gear tractor with a SINGLE STAGE CLUTCH...no problem with the gears BUT if I had it to do over again, I'd of purchased a tractor with a dual stage clutch...maybe HST, but definitely at least a dual stage clutch.

The Kubota's are somewhat lower then the Deere's. I like that lower C of G...when yr setting 4' off the ground, that little slope seems mighty steep!

As far as Horsepower, Kubota advertises gross HP, Deere advertises net HP. Net will be lower then gross, but a more realistic number for real world usage (I'm not slamming anyone's marketing, so don't flame me!). The 670 is equivalent to the 7500 in power, by the way.

I'm not particularly driven by a make. I would not buy a grey market or one of the lesser known brands (mostly due to the service and parts availability issues). There weren't too many used Kubota's around (some mid 80's 6100's).

So, I ended up with a Deere.

I tell ya one thing...the 2XXX series Kubota's are real winners IMHO (as is the 7500).
I also think the BX1800, BX2200 and BX22 machines will sell like hotcakes due to their power, versatility and SIZE (not to big to intimidate wifey from driving it. The loader capacity is quite adequate for the great majority of residential users.
If it wasn't for an area I've got to bush hog, the BX series would be the optimal tractor for me. That's the only area I think the size of the BX series works against it (for residential use). Also why I priced the 7500/2400.

But, I think my Deere is a fine machine...very capable for my usage.

Kba, Mine should be delivered tomorrow or Saturday. B7500/#302FEL/R4 (no folddown ROPS) came to $12,800 + PA sales tax. I have a Ford 1210 that will be looking for a new home shortly. Probably will sell the 3PH finish mower with it and look for a new one for the Kubota.

Suggest that you CLOSELY compare the specifications and features of the 7500 and 2410. I have had my B2410HSD for about three weeks and like it very well. My son-in-law has B7300 and it has served him well for couple of years.
I chose the B2410 for slightly more power, slightly more FEL, and position control 3ph. I wanted to use flail mower so position control was important to me. As posted above, I think the B2410 is worth the $ difference over the B7500.
I paid $15,200 plus tax for B2410 HSD 4WD and LA352 FEL, turf tires with calcium chloride in rear tires. I also bought BEFCO H40-060 Flail Mower.

I am close to buying a B7500 in Northeast Ohio. Just the tractor with Hst $ 10,000. No mower, or fold down.

Jim is right in saying that you get a few more perks with a 2410 over a 7500. 3 extra hp, a few more gpm in the hydraulics, postition control, and don't forget that the 7500 has a manual shutoff knob, while the 2410 starts and stops with just the turn of a key. I am not sure how much difference the extra 3 hp makes on tractors that size, at least with regards to ground engaging implements, i.e. boxscrapers, rakes, etc. I have heaard this said before, and I can attest to it, my 7500 always seems to run out of traction before it runs out of hp. Would I have chosen the 2410 over the 7500 had I not been on a budget? Sure. But I WAS on a budget, so ended up with the 7500. A decision I have not yet regretted at least to this point. I spent $14,000 plus tax for my 7500 HSD with FEL, and 54" belly mower. I don't know how much they socked me for the mower deck, so i can't help you with a price on just the tractor and loader. I also got the R4 industrial treads with calcium in the rear. If I recall, they wanted up near $17,000 for a 2410 similarly equipped. At any rate, they are both wonderful machines. Happy hunting!

Revision to previous post - price change. The dealer delivered my 7500 on Saturday, and brought a "CIR" form (Customer Instant Rebate) along for me to fill out. Kubota is running a rebate program on different stuff which runs from 4/1/2002 for a couple months. This knocked $200 off of the price before taxes (no waiting for rebate, it IS instant), making it $12,600 for the B7500/#302FEL/R4. Spent a good part of the afternoon playing in the dirt pile at the one corner of the property and getting familiar with the new toy...........chim
