Finally got the new tractor and we love it. Decided to stock up on supplies before we need them. Book recommends DS/CD oil. Can't seem to find it anywhere. Have they changed the ratings?

I think if you check the fine print the recommendation will be for that spec. OR BETTER of oil.
Basically any good quality oil designed for use in a diesel will be fine. Shell Rotella is one for instance.

shell rotella, mobil delvac, cheveron dello, just to name a few. I use rotella only because it is avalable throughout the north american contentant.(a carry over from my trucking days)
I cannot recomend getting your lubricants from any mass merchant. You would be amazed at what the mass merchants get by with get by with. ....

The Shell Rotella 5-40 synthetic at Walmart for 12.84 a gallon makes it easier to start on below zero mornings!! ....
