I noticed your pic's of the pallet forks you made for your 419 loader long ago, and keept them in the back of my mind locked away. I just got my hands on a set of free forks off a ragged out fork lift and if I could be so bold would like to copy your set up.

Is there a way I could talk you into taking some more detailed pic's and E-mailing them to me and some mesurments.
One of the things I'm courious about is how you made the upper bucket holder (bottom of the bucket has a pin but the top has a curved holder)

It is a very common way to make fork sets for a FEL using old sets off wornout forklifts.

The easiest way to do it is to build a sub-frame out of 4" "C" channel with a crossbar of solid round stock the diameter of the hole in the forks. If your forks are style that mount on flatbar it is slightly more complicated, but not much, you just need two pieces of (usually) 1/2" plate side to side to mount the forks on.

I'll try to post more pics next time I'm at my place.As far as the top hook up goes, I cut a piece of one fourth inch wall thinkness pipe inhalf and welded into place.that gave it perfect radius. ....

Thanks, 1/4" thick pipe cut in half.....god idea that was the part I was most lost on.....I'm off to start drawing it out.
