What is the price difference? and which is the better machine? For maintaining 1/2mile gravel driveway, leveling, Manuvering in tight spots, Moving snow,dirt,logs, trees,stumps. Making roads, ditches, paths, running 6ft brush bull. Do you need a backhoe? buy it later? Regards, Bruce

"Manuvering in tight spots" do yourself a favor and at least demo a Hydrastatic transmission for a whole day, there is nothing better for what you said you want to do. I have had gear all my life in farm/compact tractors and will never be without my hydro unless pulling very heavy loads long distances on hills. ....

I definitely agree with going Hydro for the Manuverability, but I'm not sure its enough for a 6' Brush Bull. I use a Lt Wt 5' Bush Hog with a 30 Hp tractor fairly well, but wouldn't want to go up another foot with just 2 more Hp. In heavy grass it bogs down. With the hydro trans, you can compensate pretty easy, but its annoying to have to slow down. You may find yourself wanting more power fairly often.

Which Brush Bull? The 60 would work well, the 600 is the limit with respect to weight (actually slightly over), and the 6000 (althought a fantastic cutter) is just too heavy for the 4310. I would recommend the 4310 as well unless you can find a good end of year deal on a 4410.

By the way, Deere is offering 0% financing for 24 months on the 4000 Ten & Twenty series tractors. The 4410 is being replaced with the 3720. ....

I would only woory about the lift capacity of the 3 point if the brush bull is heavy duty, I know 6' heavy duty are very heavy. I have used the bush hog SQ84 on my 4300 and it works fine. 84" of light duty bush hog. I mow down 3" diameter trees, and everything else. Thick grass does slow it some but not a problem. You need roughly 5 horse power per foot of cut. ....
