I am looking at a John Deere 950 with 1500+ hours for $6500. Does anyone have an idea if this is reasonable?

The year of the machine and whether it is 4WD would be helpful in determining the value more closely. If it is not 4WD; I would not consider this machine unless you will be operating on flat ground and or predominantly mowing. ....

I do not know the year but it is a 2WD. I am on flat land and will use it for some plowing for a garden and using a box blade. ....

Premium $6,225
Good $5,608
Fair $5,008
Approx. Retail Price New: $10,015
I would venture a good offering price of around $3,500 to $4,500 depending upon condition. Less if in poor condition perhaps a bit more if in really good condition. ....

I just bought a 1985 model 850 with only 180 hours and 8 pieces of equipment for $5000.00. I got a excellent buy on it from a relative. These are excellent little tractors, you won't be dissapointed with what it can do. Good luck ....
