Go BottomE204 stuck in reverse

I have an E204, GREAT LITTLE TRACTOR, and this morning working it, could not get the transmission out of reverse. Runs and sounds great in reverse, but need to go forward. No sound of anything breaking, and shifter "feels" as if it is locked! can anyone give me an idear on what to do.

Perhaps the shifter fork inside has broken off. What happens when the engine is off and you try to shift it? ....

It's usually something amiss in the shift-control mechanism, but on the small chance it's driveline lockup you could try shifting after you jack the rears off the ground. ....
