JD 272 Grooming Mower advice needed

I've purchased an older model and it does not appear to have grease fittings for the spindle bearings like the newer ones do. Does anyone know if the bearings on this mower require lubrication and if so, how it should be done?

I'm not an expert, but, I own a 20 yr old JD272 mower. Mine does not have spindle fittings either. I have used it for 3 years on 8+ acres. Have not had a problem. Wear out a bunch of front rollers though!! ....
