Has anyone ever seen or heard of a mulching Kit for a rear discharge, 3pt. finish mower? My wife asked me and I'm not sure. I sure hate when she plays stump the dummy with me HA HA

Yes, I seen kits around,I think the JD web site. I was thinking to get a set for my 71 in sitrex, but I'm sure it requires more pto hp. ....

Toro makes a set of Gator blades for almost any mower. They have better suction and recut the grass for smaller clippings. They cut better wet also. ....

Do these blades require the opening to be enclosed somehow, in order to keep the grass inside to be mulched?
My Troy bilt mower has a plug that's installed in the grass chute opening when I want to use the mulching configuration. ....

Not from what I gathered. There are a couple of post discussing them. Search the post with gator blades in message contains and some of them will come up.

Is your Troy-Bilt a 33" wide cut model ?? If so, how do you like it ?? I purchased one a couple of years ago, and am not 100% satisfied with it. Seems like a few too many problems for a new mower that I use only on my lawn and not for any commerical work.
