You may have seen it but Michelin has a new tire design that does not use air. Makes me think of the old steel trator rims.
I wonder how well they will hold up to say a long snake crawling into the tire or a stick or such. No doubt they have tested that.

Skid steers have been using something like this but much more robust for years. Some have replaceable segments, others are one-piece. And you can see right through the sides of them, which is their claim to fame to take the rigidity out of them. Pricey too at about $3500 for 4. ....

Oh boy! This will be the next rage with the wanna-be gang-bangers and tuners. I can still rmemebr the first time a few years ago when I saw hose spinning wheel covers on a car that had just stopped at a traffic light to my right. I almost crapped my pants and hit the brakes approaching the light (I was focused on the cars ahead of me) 'cause my brain could not reconcile seeing a car stopped BUT the wheels still turning! I thought we were gonna crash! Once I realized what had happened I felt like such a fool! And I could only laugh out at myself. ....
