Iamlooking at a belarus 825 1993 year I noticed alot what looked like leaks it has 1200 hrs on it with a loader is it a good tractor for a stable type work and should I be overly worried about the leaks.

Kyle,

There are a lot of good posts on Belarus on Tractor Point; some of them deal with leaks; it seems like Belarus' external hydraulics have a lot to do with that and some leaks should be expected. ....

I took your advise and looked for a part source and three around my area the tractor is for sale for 10500 dollars is this a fair price?

I guess it depends if it is a dealer or private sale. There is another on Iron Search which is about the same price at a dealer. If the dealer has gone over it and added a waranty it is a OK price, if private sale I would be looking below 7500. ....

I've had a Belarus 825 for several years now. It has been a good honest work horse. I rebuild the 3PT hitch cylinder and that fixed a lot of the messy leakage in the rear of the tractor. My dealer worked on the leak in the spool valves & stopped them for about $100.00. I've used mine for a lot of loader work and dirt work. The 4WD is very nice & hard to find for the price of a Belarus. It has a lot of low end torque & the motor is very strong. Mine has the "dial gear shift knob" which I really like now that I've learned it. Not a bad tractor at all, just a lot of bad press. At least thats my opinon of my tractor. ....
