If the fel is matched to the tractor by the manufacturer is it safe as long as slow steady speed is cutting the dirt to do so with the bucket?
Yes,
IF the tractor stops moving or you hear the hydraulics complain, then re evaluate.
You may have hit a rock or stump that is buried.

I went to the junkyard and pull a complete set from the back seat of a van. IT is the 2 point and is usually has the adjustable buckle. The ends usually have a bolt hole in flat metal, may have a bend to it.

I always replace anything that uses a hairpin if I can.
trailer hitch pins, I drill out the hole to 1/4 inch and get the matching flip circle lock pin.

I looked at the quickie loader page.
Just guessing, this loader was the lightest loader that could be put on the tractor. No sub-frame was on it.
you are going to need specifics.
Like what is the model number of the loader.
what are the specifications.
when was it made. Was it a used loader.
when was it put on the tractor.
was the Manufacturer's instructions followed.
was it modified.
Was the tractor/loader ever used to ram down a tree.
was the tractor/loader ever used as a bulldozer.
was the tractor/loader ever overloaded, then partially dropped the bucket then stopped.
Because of the physics of having a bucket full of dirt or snow, Allowing it to fall 4 feet then release the control to stop, Force = Weight x (Free Fall Distance/Stopping Distance +1), that can be for a 72 inch bucketm 16 cubic feet of wet sand (120 lbs per cubic ft)leads 2400 lbs dropping 4 ft. yields (2400 x ((4/.25)+1)) or 40,800 pounds of impact (actually more because stopping distance will be less than an inch). Add in the fact that the fulcrum is the front wheels and the impact will be focused on the bell housing, it is the point where the tractor will be bent.
Ramming a tractor into a tree or snow bank to knock it over is much worse.
So if your client was the type to bump and release a full bucket to lower it instead of easing it down, or ramming into things to knock them down, if it was a new tractor, he or she may have done this on his own.
That is why when you over move a stick to lower, if it is a free fall on a full bucket with no danger, you go to the ground with it, then pick it back up.
Any impact that will lift the rear tires is enough to break most tractors eventually.

So what was your 'Client' doing with the tractor when it split.

on my little massey, the relief valve was not in the oil filter. It was part of the housing.
The filter popped the seal and dumped the oil.
After much digging up the dirt and oil, I pulled the housing.
A bit of dirt had locked up the relief plate and it would not open. I popped it loose with a brass punch and cleaned it out with diesel.
when it did this it made some funny noises.
I do not know if this would be related or not.
I do not have a parts book to look.

One thing I found on my Long was that there was a pin hole in the Hydraulic pickup line where the rubber hose connected the pickup tube to the filter housing.
I could not figure out why my oil kept looking like it has water in it.
I ended up just putting about half a quart in a glass jar and sealing the lid. I marked the level with a sharpie.
left over night, the milky color left and the level dropped about 1/2 inch. not water, air. I found the hole and replace the hose with fuel transfer hose. I also found sharp edges on the pick up tube that caused the pin hole.
no leaks because the hole was on top.

you may need to bleed the injectors once you change the filter.
There should be a bolt on top of the filter housing.
take it out and crank until fuel comes out. Tighten bolt.
there is a lift pump to put fuel to the filter.
push throttle up about 1/3 or so to where you normally have it to run about 1200 rpm's.
Then crack all of the injector lines and crank until you no longer see bubbles, or it starts.
If it starts, then tighten the injector lines.
if it does not start, but you see plain fuel with no bubbles, then tighten the lines.
Do not crank the engine for more than 30 seconds at a time.
Give it plenty of rest to not burn out the starter.

Depending on what you have in mind.
I had to elongate the mounting holes on a front end loader mount to line up to my tractor. Couldn't drill new holes without welding up the hole and start over.
So I went to Lowe's and bought a Dewalt trim Router D26670, compact router on sale. It was easier to use than a full size router.
Then ordered 1/4 shaft metal cutting carbide bits from fee-bay.
Scribe the line for the hole, then with hearing protection and Safety glasses, routed out the hole to match up.
What I learned is that you put the bit in the hole, then turn on the router. If you bump the side it will break off the bit. Cuts fast and fairly accurately.
While not perfect, had no problem with 1/2 inch steel.
If you make a guide, you can route through the guide until the non cutting part of the bit is against the guide.
I also used this to make several holes into an adjustment slot.
I think would work for thicker steel, because you can cut a shelf, then lower the bit.

I would check the oil level, could be low.
Check the oil filter, could be plugged up or have water in oil.
If all that checks out, change the oil sending unit.
it could be having issues.

Well, some general troubleshooting.
If you pick up on the arms, do they push down?
If so then the depth control may be on.
did something bump the arms up then they crashed down hard?
The I would suspect the arm or rod that goes to the piston may have punched through or cracked the piston (happened on a ford 8n I fixed.) Would have to take it apart to see.
If you lift, does it lift smoothly? If jumpy, could be that your pick up line has a pin hole and is sucking air.
This shows up as if the hydraulic fluid has water in it, but if you put the same fluid in a sealed jar, will turn clear and the level will drop when the air gets out of the oil.
The release control valve may be stuck open or open too much. This is the valve that slows the drop of the arms.

It has the torques for 360 460 and 510
The main difference between the 510 and 610 engine is number of cylinders.
I Matched up the Cubic Inches from the 610 to the 510.
Both are 54.75 more or less.
510 has 3 cylinders, 610 has 4.
check page 53 for engine torques.
No difference between the 3 tractors.
610 should be the same as the difference is number of cylinders, but it is your call.
Also should be good for the Transmission and axels.
I use the 510 manual for my 2510, as there is not much difference between the two, except for the sheet metal.

If you have been rotating the pump around more than one revolution, you probably have the timing off now.
you will need to set the timing for the pump again from scratch.

On my 1045 there was an aluminum block that went to the hydraulic controls on the back of the tractor between the pump pressure line and the case housing the controls, the hoses for the front end loader came off of that.
On my 1250 an aluminum block goes between the hydraulic line from the pump and where it connects to the transmission on the bottom right, that does about the same thing as the 1045.
When I mounted the Massey 232 front end loader on my long tractor, I went to the junkyard, got another pressure line and cut it. Then put compression fittings on it from discount hydraulic hose. Be ready for price shock, as you will need the metric compression to JIC male fitting.
I added quick couplers on hoses to connect to the front end loader, a selector valve to run other things like a log splitter, and a relief valve. I almost earned the hard way is to MAKE SURE you ADD A RELIEF VALVE on the pump side to relieve back to the transmission. If the couplers close up, you might blow a line or worse, strip the gears that drive the pump. The quick coupler closed and ground the gear on the engine. It did not strip the gears, but could have been real bad.

If you have a cheap source for carbon dioxide, try freezing it between heating it. The expansion and contraction will help loosen it.

once you have the lift pump and filters working, bleed the injector lines.
Do this by cracking the lines at the injector, turn over the motor until you get clear fuel with no bubbles. Then tighten up the fuel line nuts.

check that the fuel shutoff rod did not get bent and that it is moving the fuel shut off lever on the injection pump.

it sounds like your pump is sucking air into the fluid.
Check the hose from the reservoir to the pump.
Unless your backhoe runs off of the same hydraulics from the loader.
