I would take it to a welding shop and have them straighten it. Then have them reinforce it and put on a couple of hooks.

Have you tried to locate the original owner. The tractor did come with all of the parts. I'm sure that they were removed when the backhoe was installed. I could do quite a bit of research for $1000.
If that fails, see if you can get the parts as a kit from MF whole goods.

If you will let the brakes off and or have it out of gear it should lift the front wheels. That way it can roll as it lifts and not try to lift the whole tractor.

I don't know what is wrong with those tractors or maybe shifting style. Mine shifts like it was made to. They will not grind going up 2-3-4 and going down 4-3. 1st and 2nd are not syncro but you can go up from 2-3 because 3rd is. Most of the time I shift mine through all the gears with out grinding or very little even on the 1-2 shift, If I'm paying attention.

I have a MF 1250 tractor. I can’t say enough good about this tractor. I bought it to work and it has done a fine job. In Sept 99 I paid $17300 for it and a MF 1246 loader. I said I work it and I do, I have put over 900 hours on it. These hours have not been just puttering around either. I brush hog, blade, plow, spray, dig with a MF 1217 backhoe and use the loader almost everyday.I wouldn't think twice about buying the same tractor again.

You have always provided some very good and helpful information. I do have one exception though. I am sure that Iseki has used Isuzu engines in some of their tractor at some time. After all they started building tractors in 1961, but didn’t start building engines in house until 1980, so they had to buy them from someone. Now for the exception…. After hearing that my 1200 series Massey (Iseki) had a Isuzu engine for quite some time and finding only the name Iseki cast in to the engine, I e-mailed Iseki, with the question. <br>
Who designed the engine and also who manufactured it?<br>
This is what I was e-mailed back….<br>

I have no question in my mind as to the origin of the engine in the MF 1200 series any longer after receiving their e-mail.<br>

I bought a MF 1250 in Sept. 1999. The warranty covered everything as far as I know except tires. The tires were covered by Firestone.

I have had it happen. I had a hose clamp on the suction side of the hydraulic pump under the tractor behind the loader frame that didn’t fit right. Air was being sucked in and the fluid was aerated. Sense the fluid was aerated, the relief valve wouldn’t work. Know telling what kind of pressure it was running. Had a real chore trying to find the problem. My dealer checked and tried everything. I wound up finding it myself. The simple things are some times the hardest to find.

On mine the tube is adjusted so that the rod is level with the end of the tube when the bucket is level. That way you don't have to look for a line, you just have to see if the rod is above the tube or not. The end of the rod is red so it contrast to the black tube well. This might help if your is made like mine.

I have never seen a disc that would cut very well in unturned land unless it was sand. I use a turning plow and a field cultivator to prepare my ground. I have a lot of flint rocks and a tiller doesn’t work very well in them. As far a MF 1240 pulling a 60” disc, I would say that it would because you wouldn’t believe the plows that I pull with my MF 1250.

I have heard good things about the MF 1233. I personally own a MF 1250. I put over 600 hours on it the first year. It has been a very good tractor that I would buy again. I also got a better price on it than I could on NH, Kubota or JD. The engine is made by "Iseki". They have been building engines since 1962.

I also have a 1250. I don't have a belly mower though. Any time that I have a strange parts question my parts manager will call Massey tech. support. Sometimes it will take a day or two for an answer from them. They are usually pretty good. The 1246 loader and the 1217 backhoe are made by Sioux Tractor Company. But I don't know who makes the belly mower. Your dealer should be able to tell you.

I guess that I'm the only one that does this to stop corrison BUT...

1.Take the connectors off
2.Clean the posts and the connectors
3.Apply grease from your grease gun on the posts and the connectors
4.Reconnect
5.Cover posts and connectors with a thin layer of grease
6.Problem solved

I have done this for years and it will last for about two to three years

I use homemade bucket forks. They clamp on to the bucket. I did have a spear mounted above the forks, but it was hard to get the bale on. So I took off the spear.
