Did you have the radiator boiled out by a radiator shop? If you only flushed it with a hose it is proably still stopped up. Take radiator to a shop for pressure and flow testing. Either you have radiator problems or a bad head gasket, cracked head or some problem like that. We are a Yanmar dealer and sometimes the only way to get a radiator clean is to have it professionally flushed.

Well, I went to buy the JD but ended up getting a Kubota. I went to a dealer about 70 miles away that sells Kubota, NH and Case. Their a family owned business that does alot of ag business as well as compact. I test drove the tractor for about 45 minutes and got accustomed to the hydro pedal. It's a 4310 HST, 4wd, R1's, LA681 loader for $21,500. I also bought a Rhino SE 5 shredder with front and rear chains for $800. They will deliver it tomorrow :)<br>--<br>Regards,<br>David

I have been following this thread with interest. I am a Case / IH dealer and a dealer for commerical mowing equipment. Green is not one of my favorite colors however I may be able to add several observations to this discussion. JD has done a nice job with the 4xxx series, but these are tractors designed to do everything from mowing, to loader work, to tillage operations. To accomidate all these conflicting goals obviously the tractor design is a compromise to try and do everything. If turning radius was reduced to reduce mower scuffing, the loader guys would scream about lack of manuverability. If weight was reduced the guys using the tractor for tillage would complain about wheel slip. I could go on, but the point is a tractor has design compromises to allow it do to many things. If the dealer told you something otherwise shame on him. If you look at true purpose built mowing machines (the ones the commericial guys us) They use caster type wheels (no scuffing) everywhere except the drive wheels and true zero turn drive wheels. These machines are optimized to mow turf fast and without scuffing. However they don't have tree point hitches or loader attachments. A purpose built machine will always outperform the general purpose machine at a specific task, but the general purpose machine (tractor) can do more things. It sounds to me like some of these folks would be alot happier with a zero turn commercial mower and that maybe the dealer didn't listen and sold the wrong machine.

Teeth will make a difference. In hard heavy clay type or rocky soils teeth on the bucket make a big difference. There are two types available a weld on type or a bolt on tooth bar. $Well it has happened. I have posted on this subject before advising owners that farm tractors with loaders are not bulldozers. I am a tractor dealer and prior to that I was an engineer for twelve years. I have seen other tractors break in half before. It can happen, to any brand. You loaded you tractor the worst way possible. You had a large load on the front of the tractor (loader) and a large load on the rear of the tractor (bush hog) The tractor was trying to flex in the middle due to the large overhanging loads on each end of the tractor. As you discovered cast iron doesn't flex, it breaks (fractures in engineering terms). Most industrial and purpose built loader tractors, true backhoes, all have an external steel frame around the castings. There is a reason for this, but this beefing up cost money. I tend to agree the tractor was used beyond its design capacity.$ Long 2610 broke in two
