Have a look at My Pics for some alternate ballast ideas. <br>

Pics #19 and #20 show a ballast tray that just bolts together and can hold 300 to 900 hundred pounds of cinder blocks or a water tank.<br>

That may be because the Cub Cadet SC2400 didn't exist nearly 4 years ago when this thread started.

It is easy to jump into a very old conversation around here..... check the posting dates as you read.

Frank.... Duh.... I've got the shop manual on CD and forgot I had it. There is an adjustment that I can try if Murf's advice doesn't do the trick.

That manual language indicates you have glow plugs.

My 4100 usually started without the 3 second delay, but the colder the weather, the more you need that pre-heat to start the combustion cycle.

I would find the fuse and check the wiring to the glow plugs and make sure that system is functioning correctly before you try anything else.

I double checked and found out what I really put in the fuel tank was Chevron Pro-Gard with Techron. <br>

Pro-gard is a fuel injector cleaner.

Oh... one more thing... somewhere in this thread I got the impression you might be plowing snow for cash.

So I thought I would point out (you probably already know) that the max ground speed for these units are around 8 mph.

That is a long slow drive if there is much distance between jobs.

Back when the BX22 was new, hot, and in short supply, I negotiated a (less than full retail) price with the local dealer for the next unit he could get. The deal included a front blade which he pre-ordered.<br>

Then the next four or five BX22's he got went out the door the day they arrived to "walk-ins" for full retail+ pricing. <br>

After waiting nearly two months and getting tired of his excuses I located a BX in the next state and bought it and an in-stock blade from that dealer.<br>

When the local dealer got wind of this he called and demanded I pay him for the front blade he ordered. When I refused he trespassed me from his property and issued orders that his employees were not to speak to me, sell me supplies or service the tractor.<br>

I think that was pretty dumb.

Not my tractor. Sorry. I guess I was in a big fat hurry (as usual) and forgot to mention I found the 755 picture on the Tractorhouse web page.

But I have replaced the tires on my 4115 in a similar fashion. I matched radial M&S truck tires on the rear with a set of low profile turfs of the front.

I matched the diameters using a formula I found on the Firestone AG tire web site.

When I first drove a tractor on my sandy hillside lot I found very quickly that the AG tires it came with were totally unusable.

I couldn't even get to the rear fence line in 4wd. AG tires are designed to penetrate the soil and "self-clean" displacing accumulated mud to the sides.

When you do that on sand you end up with a stationary tiller. The tires would just bury themselves and the tractor would not move, especially going uphill.

At the same time I noticed that I could drive my Toyota pick-up anywhere on the lot, usually in 2wd, and it just rode on top of the sand if I was careful with the throttle.

I had the same issues with the heavily lugged tires that came on the Kubota RTV. Useless. When I replaced them with all-season radials and drove in the same tracks it was a huge improvement.

Now I am contemplating the same fix for the Honda Big Red. The factory tires are just a bit too aggressive for this environment.
