Just before I bought new I was considering a 955 w/200 hours 70A loader w/ind. tires for $15,500. I do not know how much the snowblower would be worth. I,m in mid-Michigan, hope this helps.

I am looking at a 1997 L2900 GST 4x4 with 385 hours, roof, lights, good tires, excellent condition (almost showroom) with very good maintenance records. <br>Includes: Woods 9000 backhoe with 12" and 24" buckets, LA480 loader, pallet forks and a 5 ft. brush hog. Asking price is $26,500.<br>It is a very well maintained machine, but is it worth this much? Thank's for any help!!!<br>

T-Rock-I called my friendly NH dealer and found out there was a "campaign" put out by the company to correct the bending rear lift arms and I have an appointment next week to have the "kit" put in. My dealer says it's basically new lift brackets that fit on the 3-point lift arms..I'll find out.

Bob, I'm sorry, but I really can't help you on comparisons of the two machines. I know what a Ford 1210 is, but I've never used one (and I've never used a Gravely machine either, but don't recall anything negative about either of them). I've owned a 1995 Kubota B7100 and now have a 1999 Kubota B2710 and with my own experience, friends experience, and messages posted on this forum , I don't think you can beat the Kubotas. Like one fellow I know of who has 4 tractors, only one of which is a Kubota, but he says the Kubota is the only one he lets his employees use because it's the only one they can't tear up.

BRADLEY MY 35D W/R4 IND. TIRES IS ABOUT 68 INCHES. THE 35D ALSO HAS WHEELS LIKE THE AG WHEELS WHICH GIVE YOU MULTIPLE WIDTHS. I DON'T BELIEVE THE JD OR KUBOTA DO.

Roger, your memories of the VR chattering are right on the mark. The cutout relay on the VR has two sets of windings. One winding in parallel (shunt) and another one heavy gauge in series. The shunt winding is not polarity SENSEITVE but the series one is. The shunt winding is used to initialy pull the contacts together then as the current flows from gen to bat through the series winding the contacts are held together tighter with the pull of both the series and shunt magnetic fields pulling together. However when the gen voltage falls below the bat voltage (idle) then the current flow through the series winding is REVERSED and now the magnetic fld from the series winding is PUSHING up on the relay armature overcoming the shunt windings down pull and forcing the relay open.
This opens the circuit between bat and gen. The chattering comes ONLY from a cutout relay on a gen that has not been polarize correctly. This due to the fact the series winding is getting current flowing through it in the wrong direction (backwards) when coming from the gen and in the right direction when coming from the battery. This causes the relay to latch and unlatch at a rapid rate causing the chattering that you hear. Bottom line, regulators do not need to be polarize but the will fink (chattering) if you do not polarize the gen to get the right polarity from the output terminal.
On alternators the cutout relay is replaced by diodes which serve as a one way check valve (alt to bat) between the charging unit and the bat.
Roger, look up the left hand rule on the relationship of current flow to magentic fields through a conducter.

You've experienced NH's biggest engineering problem with the smaller TC series. My dealer told me that NH had a few scattered problems with the hydraulics on the steering column adjustment giving out. NH changed vendors and the problem has not surfaced in any machines made since.
The problem was not widespread enough for NH to issue a recall. If you are within warranty it should be covered but depending on your relationship with your dealer you may still be stuck with having to trailer it.

Glenn, I have turfs on my similar sized compact. (and ags on the other) I use chains in the winter...sometimes just the fronts, and sometimes rear as well. Turfs will work on frozen ground, but not on glare ice or in deep snow. Sometimes I leave them on in the Summer if I am going to be working on granite or somewhere that is hard on my soft turf tires.
I don't know about any problems with fit-up on chains. I made my own by modifying a set of car chains. If you take a weekend of plier, hacksaw, and vise work you can turn out a really nice job.
Turfs give a softer ride than ag tires and are a wee bit more stable on side-hill travel. Both of these are major advantages in my mind. Ags are much better in loose dirt or mud, but in most other surfaces the turfs will hold their own.

The engine on the 755 is rebuildable, but you are limited to .020" oversize bore. The big enemy of these engines is dirt. Proper air filter maintenance is a must. The engine is not sleeved so if the block is worn more than .020" will correct, then a complete engine is usually the most economical repair. I don't know of any alternative engine that will bolt right in. It might pay to check around for prices on the engine. $5000.00 sounds a little steep.

I am looking to sell an excellent condition Woods RD6000 (5') finish mower. It is less than a season old with about 75 hours use. I'm going to upgrade to a larger mower. I paid $1510.00 for it new in Spring '00. I want to be fair on the price but don't want to give it away either. Any pricing suggestions?

yea they replaced the axle, the pump and the steering valve, they didn't know that untill they looked in the crate, but all is well now, my blood is once again green.

I've noticed the same play with a 755 & the 855 which I preasently have. I felt it might be alittle to much play. But I think there should be some so it don't bind up when front axle is pivoting. BTW the 2 tractor's I've had have about the same amount of play.

I'm also looking at a Kioti (1914). Because I've never heard of them before, I'm wondering how these units are and if $9,000 is a decent price for a '99 with a bucket loader and big ag tires (70.2 Hrs). I've checked out the KIOTI site, but was wondering what others thought.
