Check the instructions that came with the stereo, you MUST have a "line level" output, i.e. an unpowered output since the headphones require almost no power at all to blast you silly with the volume. If you don't have this output, most units today do have one to feed an amplifier, or equalizer, you will have to find a pair of "high power" headphones. Best of luck.

John, you should have no problem augering holes for 16" sono-tubes, we do it to a depth of 8' all the time (with a 4' extension & 4' auger). A 12" auger will actually create a hole a few inches larger than its own diameter, especially if it is left turning in the hole a while. Your only limit as to the depth you can auger is the amount of lift the 3pth can produce to lift the bit back out of the hole. It is pretty unlikely that you will find a rent-all that will rent an auger, a larger dealer might, especially a used or trade-in unit they have in stock. Your best bet is to find a large electrical contractor who does pole line work, they will have a 'digger' truck for setting poles, a 16" hole 6' deep is a breeze for them, and you may be surprised at how cheap they will do it. Check my post earlier "TC25 now or TC33 later". I would already own a JD790 if the dealer had one in stock(4WD). He didn't, and since I had to wait, I went out of town 60 miles to the New Holland dealer. WOW! I love the little blue tractor. I looked at a TC25, it was very nice, great ergonomic controls and cab area. It had a great "Deluxe" hitch and R4 tires. I was considering waiting to get a price on the TC33 but I would have to wait a few weeks for delivery. The TC25 has a lift of 1635 lbs at 24" behide. The JD790 lift realy had me concerned also. You should atleast go look at a NH25. I was quoted $11695.

Dave- Well, I can't give you an answer to your question, but I remembered your question when I ran across this information yesterday, so I'll pass it on to you assuming you're still looking for some information and some help. This is from a table of "Basic Dimensions of Some Farm Tractor Tires," all R-1. Loaded radius is defined as "the distance from the ground to the axle center for a tire which is loaded and inflated to recommended pressure." This obviously takes into account the deflection of the tire at the ground, and reflects what the effective circumference of the tire will be as it rolls along the ground. According to the table, an 11.2-24 tire has a loaded radius of 19.0 inches; a 12.4-24 tire has a loaded radius of 20.8 inches. Seems like the 12.4-24 will cover more ground per revolution than the 11.2 will. Whether this is enough of a difference to start giving you a lead-lag problem, I haven't a clue. Interestingly enough, there seems to be only two tire size pairs (within the same rim diameter) which have the same loaded radius. The 13.6-38 and the 15.5-38 (and the pair switch I was interested in for a different reason!) have an identical loaded radius of 28.6 inches. The 9.5-24 and the 11.2-24 have an identical loaded radius of 19.0 inches. I guess if you wanted to change down to 9.5-24's you wouldn't have a problem!! As a general point, the table indicates that changing up or down to the next closest section width within a given rim diameter mostly makes a difference of from 0.3 to 1.5 inches in the loaded radius. Your proposed switch has one of the bigger (although not the biggest) loaded radius jumps. Hope this information helps with your decision.

I was all set to buy a JD790 until I went out of town to look at the New Holland Boomers. I can get a TC25 with deluxe hitch, folding ROPS, and R4 tires for $11,695 and have it delivered in a day or two. Or I can wait a week or two for a TC33. I haven't gotten a price on it yet. I did get a price on the TC29 with the same setup at $12,140. The TC29 has the same displacement (81.2 cu.in.) but adds 200 rpm to the rated speed (2800). The TC33 has 10.a cu. in. more displacement (91.3) and a rated speed of 2800 rpm.Do you all think I'll notice or need the extra HP the TC33 offers. I'll be using a 5 ft King Kutter bush hog, a Heavy duty 5ft box scraper, and a fairly heavy set of disks(5.5ft). The disk work will be for small 1/4 arce food plots. The terrain is pretty flat but I may get into some wet muddy spots.I have never owned a tractor before so any advice will be helpful.Thanks,<br>Scott T. (Florida)

4sale 60" mid mount mowing deck. Will fit 755, 855, 955 and maybe others. This deck has less than 5 hrs use and is like brand new!! I bought it from a dealer with my 955 and do not need it. I will sell it at several hundred less than the $2500 a new one cost. My asking price is $1750! Again this deck is as new condition!!!!! Will email pictures if you like. deal, buying a tractor is almost as bad as buying a car.that quote was for a HST
and no mid mower. for the 4400 with the same options, they wanted 33,000
must be that added surcharge for living in the northeast.

Scott, instead of front end weights, you may consider a frontend loaded. It will provide the added weight you need, plus it's uses are endless! Just one use besides moving dirt/rocks, is that you always have a place to carry anything you might want. I use mine for everything. It helps balance the tractor a great deal. Donald

Thanks for the comment. One other thing I would like to know is the change in the pump. I don't think my dealer has worked on these units and I am interested in knowing about the pump change over. I might change the front end myself, see how it goes on, can anyone share information about the other changes. In changing this I want to be sure it's right. Spoke to the dealer today and he is contacting the rep. Monday. I do a lot of business with them and feel somewhat confident we can work the matter out. Will keep a post.

I don't think you will have any problem with a hydro for this. To verify this for yourself why not rent a hydro for a half day and do it.

Jeff- Given what Mark said about the low and high auction prices for a 2020, and given that a 48 loader sells for $1500 to $2000 around here (SW Wisconsin), $8500 seems a little high for the pair. Someone must have wanted that 2020 with that loader real bad! Hope something else nice comes your way at a better price.

Ernie, I agree with Robert; just go with HST and 4WD. He says it's like "double the power" and sometimes it seems that way. A neighbor with big tractors says it's actually 15% to 25% more pulling power with 4WD. Of course the difference is in the traction, not actual power. Robert says to go with Blue; I prefer Orange, but they're all good tractors. I have a B2710 and my cousin has a TC29 and I don't guess either of us would trade with the other.

I don't know about Red or Green, but Boomers are delivered to the dealer via flatbed trailer with tires mounted. Seat & controls are covered in plastic, some road dust, but the tractors look "brand New", like a new penny. Loaders are added by the dealer. Boomers are moving so fast at the dealers here in TN, they don't have time to rust. I checked my TC25D with a finetooth comb, and didn't find a scratch. If it's got rust, makes you wonder.

I found a new use for my slip scoop. Going on the comment made by my dealer that the slip scoop is kind of like a wheelbarrel, I used it to hold a batch of cement that I mixed in it. At that point, it was pretty easy to move over to where I was making a step for my deck. I then just hosed things down and had a clean tractor.
