I have a 1025R and am doing some grading on a slope. While I am aware of the impact on the tractor tilt caused by the slope, what recommendations are there for better control on the steeper potions. Will deflating the tires enhance stability.<br>

This is my first build so it is a learning process. The build has less than one hour run time. I have the service manual and have tried to follow the guidelines they suggest. The compression is in line with manual and engine does run well with exception of oil and smoke.the manual does not give info on breakin or seating of rings so suggestions would be helpful. I will try to determine if injector is leaking. I was linking smoke and oil together but that might have been a mistake. I have gotten conflicting info on history before I got the tractor so have disregarded it. I will work through it with help where ever I can get it. Thanks

thanks all, It looks like it is right under /on the starter as I can plug my finger tip and stops and it is engine oil for sure. I will get some pics tonight and post.

I have bought a 1979 610 long tractor. It had been sitting for about 5 years, it spins over, sounds like it is trying to start but wont. I have tried ether and it started for a few minutes then it died, now it wont start even with the ether. It tries to start but wont. Please help.

It is possible the switch itself has gone out. This is something we see people buy for the FarmPro. The next best thing would be to see if you are getting power to and from the switch.

JD 4310 want come out of 4x4. I think my transmission pin is stuck or broken. Can anyone tell me how to check? The cylinder is working but the tractor will not come out of 4x4.
Have disconnected the cylinder and there is no resistance on the transmission lever. I noticed that you can pull it out about .5 inch I can move it back and forth and do fill It hitting something.

Tractor is stuck in 4x4. Yes there is power to the solenoid. What I want to try.<br>
Swap the rear pto with the 4x4 solenoid to see if it is the solenoid that is bad. The 4x4 solenoid does not click, no sound, it is magnitized. <br>
Cant take 4x4 solenoid off because there is a part of the transmission housing right above the solenoid nut. So I think the block that the solenoids are on has to come off. My questions, When I take the 4 bolts off to remove the block from transmission housing, is fluid going to pore out of the transmission housing. I know what is in the block will come out. Thanks for help. <br>
Update. I got solenoid stem out some, put it back in and it has started working.<br>
Next problem.<br>
It still want come out of 4x4. The rod of the cilender on the left side of the transmission housing is moving like it should. What could be wrong??<br>
Maybe the rod is not moving out enough.<br>
Is there an ajustment for it, or is something broken inside?<br>
I have jacked intire tractor up and turned tires by hand and with tractor transmission engaged.<br>

My Shibaura P19F was smashed by a tank from above, I need a dash and other parts, any suggestions where I could find some? The dashboard on a 1520 New Holland compact tractor 20 series seems similar, does that sound right to anyone?<br>

Question on the 3 point hitch - when we start the tractor cold everything works fine. After the tractor runs for about 20 minutes the 3 point hitch gets sluggish and won't raise up and down at all. The fluid is full. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have a MF1010 2wd with turf tires. I just attempted to put chains on my turf tires, but the inside chain is interfering and rubbing the inside fender. Does anyone have a solution to this?

This may sound like a dumb question, but where are those plates located? As my username suggest, I am really new to tractors. The biggest problem I am having now is, when we bought the tractor and backed it off the trailer the tractor ran out of gas. Now it will not start because apparently there is air in the line. Unfortunately both my husband and I know nothing about tractors. We don't have a clue where the fuel lines are. The previous owner did not supply us with all the necessary manuals, he obviously did not have them either. We have had the tractor one week now and have been unable to use it. It is sitting in the middle of the field.... Can you or anyone else reading this help us locate the fuel lines and provide instructions on how to get the air out of the fuel system? Pictures would really be helpful. We have the Agracat 200, 20hp, 2wd tractor. Thank you so much. new2tractors

Thanks 46bugs. I have seen that site when I was looking to buy this used. Unfortunately it does not say where to add and check the hydraulic fluid. I 2lines blow out and lost enough I feel it needs to be topped off. With the capacity shown I figure its all in the rear axle. There is a dipstick and filter mounted to it.

Thank you I checked the pressure with a gage and it was fine. I bought the tractor this way. The cooler was not bolted to anything just sitting out front, I welded a bracketto it an bolted it back onto the clutch in front seems to be working also changed the fluid looks like maybe it had the wrong fluid in it seemed thicker then the ford fluid thanks for the reply'
