Well, I finally did it! Ordered a DK65 with FEL, 7'Cutter, and Tiller. Dealer said he could deliver next Saturday. I'm really looking forward to putting it to work, got 70 acres of pasture that need mowing badly. I'll let you know how it works out.

If there is anyone else around Canton, Texas, who is on the forum, drop me a note.

Just joined tonight from Lake Fork. Saw a Kioti on the side of the road today that sparked my interest and posted a question to the board. DK50c w/FEL. Maybe you priced those new while you were shopping?? If so, your advice would be appreciated on the thread. BTW, where did you get your tractor and was the dealer good?? Thanks. ....

We're practically neighbors; we are about 8 miles South of Emory. Its my understanding the DK50 has been dropped, I never saw one of them but did look at the DK45 and DK55. I really had my mind set on the DK65 or similar tractor in the same size. I dealt with Canton Tractor, which is on
I-20 at Highway 64. They have a number of tractors in stock or can get them within a few days. So far my experience with them has been good. Only had the tractor just about 2 weeks, but like it, and it does what I want it to so far. You might want to price a new 45 or 55 as a basis for judging the value of the 50 you looked at. Sounds like a pretty good deal though. Good Luck. ....

I'm really worried about the cab taking a beating with all the woods clean-up I need to do with it. The wife made a good point, if we mainly had fields/pasture the cab would be wonderful. Since we first need to clear much of the land to convert to pasture, that cab might not make it :).

So, I haven't completely ruled out the DK50c, but I really need to get a price on the Kioti DK65 with no cab and QT-FEL. If that's the setup you got, would you mind sending me a Personal Email with the price you got?? keith_d_johns1 at hotmail (sorry, had to bypass the automatic email address blocker).

Before I make a decision, I'm going to price the Kioti DK65 vs the Kubota M6800, compare the features, financing, price and then decide. I think I'm down to Kubota vs Kioti now. :-) ....

Well, so far I've put 45 hours on the DK65 and I'm impressed. Had one small issue; air conditioning stopped cooling. I called the dealer, who picked it up took it into the shop and checked it out. Freon level was low, he filled it to operating level checked the entire system and brought it back. Told me that it appears the factory didn't get it charged to full operating level. Great service. Works like a champ now. Glad I got the cab, it makes a major difference. I got the 7' mower and the tractor pulls it with no strain at all. Just finished mowing about 55 of 70 acres. The operating control on the back for the 3-point hitch is great; makes hooking up a breeze. And the quick attach plate on the FEL is a must. Dropping the bucket and attaching the hay forks is a snap.

So far I like it a bunch. I'll let you know how it continues. ....

Well, have the pastures mowed, have moved some bales, and am now trying to level a couple of areas with the box blade.
Have 65 hours on the DK65 now and really like it. Running fine and doing everything I need to. Need some advise on using the box blade. The ground I'm trying to work on is pretty darn hard and the blade won't cut in worth a darn. How do I get enough down pressure on the blade to make it cut? Do I need to weight it, or does someone have an adjustment trick? I may have to loosen the area with the tiller before I can move the dirt around. ....

I have been looking at the DK65C for a possible future purchase. Can you give us a run down on your over all impressions and experiences with your machine now that you have owned it for almost 8 months? How many hours do you have on it now? Any major problems or issues? Customer service? These look like one heck of a nice machine for the dollar spent. ....

Been a super wet winter so I haven't had a chance to do a lot I wanted but have moved a lot of hay to keep the cattle going. Have 105 hours on the DK65 now and am very pleased with it. The four wheel drive has really proved itself because of the wet pastures, don't think I could have moved the bales without it. With the weight of the bale on the front end, the rear wheels slipped a bunch. Put it in 4WD and walked right through deep mud with the load on the front. Getting the cab was the right decision for me; the heater made a heap of difference. Except for the early problem with the air conditioning I haven't had a single problem with the tractor. Haven't had any really cold weather, but with temperature in the teens the engine started on the first try. To this point I have to give the Kioti a big "thumbs up". ....
