I know the diesels are imported, but how much of the Boomer is actually made in the use as opposed to being assembled from imported components ?

Having recently worked on a dataset for products in the agriculture industries, I can tell you that the "Made in where ever" label is an extremely poor predictor of quality / functionality. Predictors that were strong (> 0.25) were (not in any order): Price paid, brand, reputation, resale price - very strong predictor, after market dealer structure - very strong predictor. I would not bother worrying about where it is made unless you have other attachments (non-quality related) to that factor. ....

I dont really care, was just curious. It seemed to me that the fit/finish on the Boomer was superior to the green and orange.Im totally satisfied that I made the right choice where ever it was made. ....

For the larger tractors 240hp many parts are made in the good ole usa, (but many esp. electronic parts are not) We do make some great gears also, england cant match our consistancy yet even though we gave them all our tech. Right now I am happy with the mix of forign and home made parts as long as it dont decrease anymore than it has. ....

My filters are made in Japan (just checked) I am sure to be competative price wise alot of parts need to come from markets over sea's. In a perfect world they would buy them form manufacturers here in the good ole USA, but then
only the elite would be able to purchase one. Japn is much better than say, malysia or taiwan (sorry for the spelling did not want to spell check it) ....
