Looking for information from anyone on any problems with the Boomer 1630. I have gone threw 2 motors (123hrs on first, 175hrs on next) and my boomer is dead. Total....304 hours!!! Rod went through block on both occassions due to faulty torgue on cap nuts, in one cylinder. Tractor is out of warranty now, and I am dealing with "customer service". Their ad says the Boomer can blast through anything???? Just its own block so far for me.
Please email me with any information, no matter how small. I was one of the first to own one in Manitoba...and I want to prevent anyone else from making this mistake.

Have you run this by your dealer and area tech rep. to inquire if they would be willing to conduct a teardown failure analysis. (my suspisions are that they will not) Can't hurt to ask. What were you doing with the tractor each time the engine failure occurred? ....

My dealer folded prior to my warr coming do...nice timing...I have been dealing with New Holland North America, and a local dealer who has been nice enough to take up my cause...but thing is..NO ONE will LOOK at it...they have taken the word of local tractor mechanics....???? as this would fuel my lawsuit obviously...subpoena's for their own people..wouldnt that look good in court...anyhow..as of late, the customer service guy I dealt with has been let go, and a new person is looking over my case...but they have still not told my delaer that they will not fix the tractor...just me...and we go on!!!! Thanks for the support. ....

The new engine was put in then ran 2 years (174 hours) then threw the rod again. I realize its over 2 years, but geez, 174 hours with regular maintenance?! Yes I have the papers. New Holland fired the last customer service person and now there is a new person reviewing the file. I will continue to post everrywhere, make waves etc...until I get some action. Especially since I have gotten wind of documents relating to my series of the motor and other issues floating around out there. Thanks for helping out. Suggestions? ....
