We have had some flooding here in western PA this week, and I was going to be on the road at night fixing what is left of my driveway...but my hazard lights are not working, and the fuse is OK...any ideas?

There should be a flasher unit either on the fuse panel or somewhere in line close. They typically look like a 3/4" metal cube. Try tapping on it; sometimes you can get them working again like that or you can just replace it. You can buy them at most auto parts stores or if you have access to some old junk cars or a junk yard; pull one off of a fuse panel there. ....

Newer flashers don't ground through their cases any more since they often are mounted on plastic. The flasher probably plugs into the wiring harness but there may be a separate ground wire. If there is I'd check that the chassis end is connected before getting a new flasher. If you have a wiring schematic a test could be made to see if it's getting voltage as well. Even so, universal flashers are inexpensive so maybe just buy one and if the flasher isn't the problem it isn't much of a pain. ....

I appreciate the follow up...I'll have to search for the flasher when I get home...I didn't see one on the fuse panel last night... ....

Welcome to Tractor Point "Move"! Do you think you can elaborate a bit on your "informative" and "thoughtful" post and perhaps register and fill out your profile? You need to work on that spelling too. ;-) ....
