I own a TC21D and have been looking for a 48 inch tiller for it. I can hardly afford the 15 to 17 hundred dollar tillers. I went to Tractor Supply Co and they have a nice price 899.00 for a 60 inch King Kutter, but it weighd 690 lbs. I don't think for tractor can handle that much. They said they could order a 48 inch but might take 2 months to get. Any help or suggestions appreciated. Thanks

The 3 point lift weight specs. are on the New Holland website. Personally - I used a 365lb tiller on a John Deere 318 Garden Tractor. This is an 18HP Hydrostatic unit with a Cat.0 3 pt hitch. Certainly you could lift that tiller without an issue but should consider counter balance (front weights). According to New Holland specs - your TC21D can lift 1265lbs no problem. Quite frankly - I would never buy a compact tractor that couldn't lift a tiller - and I have never seen one that couldn't. :) ....

Your TC should easily lift the weight, just make sure your PTO horsepower is enough to run it at its optimal speed.

If you have a FEL you probably will be fine with the balance. If not, as cdcole noted, you will need something up front. ....
