I put this on Tractor Forum also, as it is time sensitive.
I can buy a Mitsubishi 4X4 3850 for 2,000
Have not looked at it yet. Owner says, it will start with no problems when ambient temp is 90 degrees and above, below 90 it will not start.
Im thinking glow plugs, what do you think ?
It has a FEL but says needs a new hydraulic pump as hydraulics don't work.
He sent me pics and looks to be a clean tractor with ropes and shade top.

I guess if it was a dealer I would run not walk away.

$2000 is almost no money for a D3850. Have to know the circumstances of how it got in this sahpe. Elderly owner died and widow looking to sell estate? Most other circumstances a red flag.

So you are in a qunadary could lifetime best buy of the century or the world worst decision.

Sounds like a headache, but if you like to tinker you may be in nirvana.

Best of luck!

Could be glow plugs or it could be low compression. The engine does need glow plugs to start. IIf you are willing to repair the tractor, it is a bargain. for this size 4wd tractor with a loader. I can supply glow plugs, hydraulic pump & parts to rebuild.. ....
