The Flood Safe Braided hoses area great idea just not a good thing to do with today's Dishwashers that are already trying to restrict water consumption. Flood Safe Hoses restict water to about 1/10th the flow of a regular 3/8 braided hose. This means that too little water gets to the dishwasher and can cause early failure and bad washing performance.

I think it is a good machine. It can probably run any front blower that is made for it. At least 50 inch probably more.

I guess if it was a dealer I would run not walk away.

$2000 is almost no money for a D3850. Have to know the circumstances of how it got in this sahpe. Elderly owner died and widow looking to sell estate? Most other circumstances a red flag.

So you are in a qunadary could lifetime best buy of the century or the world worst decision.

Sounds like a headache, but if you like to tinker you may be in nirvana.

I need to get a house painter and they include pressure washing in the quote. I have seen some House Washing Only services and was thinking they might do a better job.

That loader mounter front blower looks neat but must be very pricey and it looks like the setup is signicant enough to make a just snow setup.

One think I hate about the front blowers is the sub frame mounts are typically just a smidge to long to allow remounting the loader in a pinch when you just have too much snow, or lots of heavy snow ice mess to move around.

Boy lots to look at with this but lets start with the battery.

I would check all battery and starter connections for corrosion and check all safety sensors. Maybe jump battery from your car or truck to see if that changes things. You could also use a remote starter switch to bypass your ignition switch ....

Use the multimeter to check how much juice is getting where.

Try a remote starter switch to bypass all safety switches and you rignition switch...

Yes as you say injectors could be the cause of the leak into the crankcase.

You say it has only 300 hours that is not much at all for the injectors to fail so early. You also say it runs great, with bad injectors it could run rough and be hard to start,and have other running issues.

You say you have algae in the tank.

Could the fuel pump be messed up so that it does not close completely when turned off?

Just another thought.

Each engine has its own tightening sequence but the principle is to start in the middle and work outwards. I use an appropriately sized straight socket bar to tighten. I gradually work the sequence several times without using a torque wrench. I have used the torque wrench as an affirmation that they are all about the same as a final step.<br>

I think you have to be careful with a Torque wrench because most torque wrenches are so long you could way over tighten one of the bolts

Expanding to Handy things to have in your pocket. I bought this Kerskaw pocket knife at least 30 years ago. 2.25 inch locking blade with rubber handle. For its size you do not notice it your pocket. Nice to have with you .

Lots of potential issues given the age and not knowing the maintenance history. If a recent valve adjustment was just done it was a bit off. If everything had been running smoothly perhaps the valve adjustment changed from wear or looseness. Or the rings are worn causing a violent untimely explosion resulting in the bend. Good luck.

For years everything has safety sensors, you probably need to find them a temporarily bypass them.

I think I would replace the fuel pump they just do not last that long and very inexpensive first thing to try replacing.

Having flown across the US many times it is obvious almost all of it was covered by ocean at one time. So that happening again is possible.

I believe that Climate change is real, does man have something to do with it? Be nice if we did and could actually do something about it. That is the questionable part , can we actually do anything that will change where things are headed, when it is much more involved that just little mankind.

If catastrophe is proximate we are screwed because the little we do is very unlikely to measure up to change anything.

Should we be wiser in what we do on earth, sure we should. But let s not panic fully.

I have always fed my dogs dry food. Gas can be a sign of digestive issues with the dogs food. My dogs get real loose from Blue Buffalo products for example.<br>

So many dry dog food brands are really only marketing companies they DO NOT MANUFACTURE anything but job it out to anywhere and anyone to make. May not even have trials on digestibility. <br>

I had been feeding Purina Pro Plan Large Breed owned by Nestle, until the vet noticed too much plaque on my one year old dog. I researched corn and found that even in humans it can be a source of plaque build up.<br>

I changed to Purina Pro Plan Grain Free Duck which costs about $2 pound. Along with giving him Nylabone Plaque problem gone.<br>

Decided might be good to rotate him to another product, tried Royal Canin owned by M&M candy. Crazy large kibble, actually smells great might try some. But he gets some serious flatulents from this stuff but has good stools. Royal Canin does have corn though.<br>

So did some further research and found that Merrick started as a highly principled dry food manufacturer. Now owned by Nestle since 2015. Nestle says they are leaving Merrick operations and management in tack. Anyway still migrating from Royal Canin to Merrick Grain Free Duck. on day 10 with 50 % new food very slow migration. Gas does not seem to be problem, stools OK so far.<br>

My food research was trying to stay with the two largest companies Nestle and M&M as at least they have the R&D and capital to actually take full responsibility for procurement, manufacturing kind a Like a Kubota !<br>

A new house was built down close to the river and he has what looks like an in ground pump station with plastic lids like you see on a dumpster for access, he has four of them spaced over a distance of 150 feet each one is about 5 foot by 5 foot.

I originally thought it was for an enclosed loop system, but after reading this he must be pumping the river water? Never thought of that until reading this thread !
