I have a JD Gator that is at least 15 years old. The brakes squeak terribly. I have changed the transmission fluid and it stopped for a while but is bad again. Do I need new brakes?

Long in this reply so you may have it fixed.
Have you looked at the brake pads? Could be them or could be rust on the rotor. If noise is only when first used after sitting for a while, humidity level affects that, could be light rust on the rotor. But it should get less as you use it. If it does not would think brake pads. ....
