Hey guys. I'm new here but am frequently on other forums. We have a Gator 6x4 gas and when you start driving it will pop out of forward or reverse and go into Neutral on its own. You can hear it grinding when it pops out and is close to meshing. This problem started out in reverse only and now has begun doing it in forward gear. It will not do it if you apply pressure with your hand on the shifter and hold it in gear.
Is this something internally that is broken/worn and needs repair, or is this an adjustment ? I plan on repairing it myself or taking to the JD Dealership.

I would check the linkage and see if you find some reason the linkage is not fully engaging like worn or stick in the way. ....
