After replacing the electric fuel pump I found the pick up line screen collapsed and kinked. Replaced it and now the pump won't prim the line. I have actually fed gas into the line to the pump and all it does is push it back to tank like it is pumping in reverse.
Lost in Ohio over this debacle. It started after I shut it off one morning and tried restarting it. I heard a slight pop and the battery was dead. Figuring it was the battery cell which was 7 years old I replaced it. Here are the list of parts I have already replaced. Electric fuel pump. pick up line, fuel filter and battery.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Do you have the lines hooked up correctly? and or the electrical lines hooked correctly? If your electrical wire are switched I believe it could cause this ....
