Hi I have recently acquired a c174 and there seems to be a problem with the starter it has a single 12 volt lead from battery which is connected and a single small spade ended lead also connected so far so good but I also have a single lead which has a modular plug and a brass ring / washer type connecter that is the same size as main supply from battery but this lead is not connected can anybody help me I am totally new to tractors and would love to get this baby running.
Dave.

That tractor is the same as a Massey-Ferguson 1020. If you turn the ignition switch, are any of bulbs lighting? That wire should be connected along with the positive terminal on the starter, I think it's the power supply for the ignition switch. ....
