Shut my gator off the other day while fencing and it wont start now. Thought I flooded it so cleaned the plugs and changed oil and filter. seemed to have good spark on both cylinders. It has about 300 hours. All I can get is an occasional backfire. Changed the M150470 pulse coil but no change

I see you had the same solution for an earlier post. It is a $300 non returnable part. You are quite sure? Is this common. They don't seem to know anything about it at the local JD dealer. ....

That's the part. If you have an HPX long enough you will need one. I would feel reasonably sure that's the problem since they go out a lot. It is probably getting spark at the wrong time and giving you the backfire. Strange a dealer doesn't know anything about it, maybe they didn't sell any HPXs............. ....

Not sure if yours has it, but most engines on gators have a fuel shut-off at the carb. When electric power is shut off, the fuel shut-off closes by spring power to keep fuel from reaching the carb. If the plunger of the shut-off gets stuck in the closed position, the engine can't get any fuel. You can remove the shut-off valve and clean it. Lubricate with Marvel Mystery Oil when you reassemble the valve.

This is off topix,But I need the left side of a 2360 Long Trac Hood. The left side fell off and was ran over by a bush-hogg.
I have heard that a 2360--2460-2510-and a 680 long Tractor have the same hood.
But if anyone knows of one, I sure would Love to hear about it.
