The remote levers (2) are pressure out and pressure in. I have 4 quick connects. The set up works great for the hydraulic top link but for the hoe and log splitter I have to lock the handle for pressure out with a mini c clamp, which isn't really user friendly . It doesn't have a handle lock. The book says there's a screw that changes the valve from double action to single action. I haven't tried it thinkig that just makes it one way, am I not understanding how that works? Does anyone know of something better?

I've never owned one, but have helped a FT404 owner work on his. I don't think changing to single action is the solution you're looking for. That basically reroutes the return fluid past the pump. In this mode the pump pushes the fluid, gravity returns it to the sump. Its use is pretty much limited to dump trailers. If it's like my 454, I had to use a bungee cord if I wanted mine to operate a set of my remotes full time (example: when using a 3-point log splitter).

Hey Greg, good to hear from you. I wasn't thinking changing to single action would do it, but I didn't know if maybe my thinking wasn't the way it worked. I'm surprised they didn't manufacture a locking feature. I figured I put the question out there and see what others have come up with. ....

Well I figured it out. I mounted a slide lock on the decking. It works great, just push the handle forward and push the slide over. It was a real bear getting the lock washers and nuts on the back side. Had to get the wife with smaller hands to do two of them. ....

Small hands definitely beat the alternative of removing the rear wheels! I think if I tackled that job, I'd have gotten out my pop riveter.

Now that you mention it I do have a heavy duty rivit gun and I think some 1/2" stainless rivits. I didn't even think about that, it sur would have been a lot easier. ....
