Do you have water in your transmission? If it looks milky you have water, and water will destroy your hydraulic pump that operates the lift. ....

Snydet,
Check to be sure your loader valve isn't stuck in the float position. To me, it sounds as though the hydraulic system is in use somewhere else....more than likely the loader.
Work all of the valves on your loader joystick to be sure that they're all centered.
