Very cold in Indiana...tractor starter spins almost immediately after turning key following glow plug activation. Sometimes it will turn the engine over a couple of times before kicking out and spinning. Replaced battery, same result. May be the starter or the bendix, would cold weather cause this? Haw about a source for a new bendix? Would a Ford/New Holland starter or bendix work?

Thanks

take the starter to your napa autoparts, they have reliable rebuilders for just about any starter.
you must take yours to them.
good luck ....
