By "hyd" I'm guessing you mean hydraulic fluid.

If it is a stand-alone system then you need something suitable for the system and weather conditions it usually runs in. Probably a general use middle weight fluid like AW46 will do the job just fine.

What sort of problems are you having?

Best of luck. ....

Was cleaning tank and trying to replace new hyd fluid. Old filter inside tank had lost screen from off it. Am mounting screw on filter adapter so can replace filter regularly. After attaching to tractor there is no fluid pumping. Not sure pump is not working properly. Should I disassemble pump to determine if pump needs to be reworked. ....

If everything was working before the fluid change, and the pump wasn't touched, I'd have to say the pump isn't the issue.

Double check every line removed or anything else that was changed to be sure that it got put back correctly.

As for the pump itself, have you isolated the pump to test it? An intake and outlet hose in a bucket of fluid and spin it with an electric drill. If it works that way the problem is in the plumbing somewhere.

Best of luck. ....
