Picked this up on Craigslist today.$100.00 from a older farmer who is cleaning up around his place.Any of you smart chipper guys help me out on where to get the tractor side of the PTO shaft? And maybe the manual for it.I don't think for $100 bucks I went wrong even if it was missing half the shaft.
Your thoughts on the S&R Pro chipper please.

Think you will end up having to buy a total shaft. Which would be wise as both ends will be new and not having to worry about how wore the universal joint is in the end you have. If you have another pto shaft that will work (strong enough and right length and end on the cutter is the same) you can use it.
Please forgive me if you already know this but, if you have not used pto shaft before be very sure you know how to get correct length shaft. Too short and it can come apart while running and too long can damage the piece of equipment or your transmission. Of course none of those are good. When the lift is level is when to measure for the short length and when either all the way up or down is when to measure for the long length. Check it both up and down. kt
