I lost the key to my Gator. I was just plain Stupid. I just bought it, loaded it on the trailer and forgot to remove the key. Fell out. It is a Gator TX. 2006. Are all the keys the same? I saw some advertised on ebay. Can I just pick one up at the JD parts store? Would Lowes or anyone else carry them?
Also, I have not found any wiring diagrams online. Can I temporarily just hot wire it, or put in a toggle switch or something? I could trace out the wires, but does anyone know the color codes?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

I have a 2001 Gator and have purchased keys off Ebay. They are universal for my model. Probably yours also. Check with the dealer first. ....

I think any Gator key will fit, and likely a key from a Deere lawn mower will fit too.

One reason they never are stolen, right? Not being ugly about JD think that is mostly common in even tractors. Years ago know one heavy equipment company who used different ignition keys but all cab keys were the same as my camper key was. Those machines were higher price than any farm tractor. ....
