The muffler for my gator has been "substituted" for a newer model that does not appear to fit. The style I need doesn't seem to be available via John Deere any more.
Does anyone have any information? I need part #AM116421 - which says to sub it out for part #'s AM125967 & AW26849. I bought the newer muffler and can not figure out how this version fits in any way, shape or form.
Would really appreciate any thoughts on this.
Best regards!

I had to replace my gator muffler with the new "upgrade" model also. The new muffler installs vertical (instead of horizontal like the original) between the clutches and exhausts out the bottom underneath the gator. The worst part about the installation was drilling a mounting hole in the frame under the rear axle (a 90 degree drill may make it easier. I only drilled one frame mounting hole and used a long bolt and spacer to make the muffler mount without any undue pressure on the muffler to motor mounting studs. ....
