Hi, I just bought the same setup in NH for $22.9K

Kubota L3240 with HST Plus, LA724 FEL, skid steer quick coupler, 72" bucket, industrial R4 tires filled, and foldable ROPS.

I shopped around at three dealers and all were just about the same. So I bought it at the one I trusted the most

I took it for a test drive and moved a big pile of snow, but am wondering how the FEL works with a full load of dirt in it?

It looks like if it's fully loaded it could take weight off the rear tires and make it tricky to drive around. But this is just me kicking around a few thoughts

Have you any experience with the FEL fully loaded with dirt or other stuff and driving it around? Your comments are welcome. In the mean time, it's suppose to be delivered to my home on Friday.

I won't really be testing the machine out untill the snow melts here

Dannw1431,

As with any tractor, always carry a heavy bucket-load with the bucket as close to the ground as possible.....just high enough to avoid obstructions. This keeps the center of gravity low, aiding in the prevention of rollovers.

Travel slow....ALWAYS wear your seatbelt, and lock the roll-bar in the up position.

Hanging some weight on the 3-point hitch will add a tremendous amount of traction to the rear wheels, and it will also take a lot of weight off of the smaller front axle.

Many years ago, as a kid on the farm, I lifted a heavy load of sand with an old Minneapolis U. While raising the load to dump it into a truck, the front axle snapped in half, right at the pivot point.

The front of the tractor dropped about 14 inches in the blink of an eye, and it sent me flying out of my seat and up onto the hood of the tractor. The only thing that stopped me from going completely over the hood was the scorching hot exhaust pipe, which I managed to get a good grip on.......for a second.

If the load seems too heavy for the tractor, make more trips, hauling a smaller amount of material with each load.

Just some friendly advice.

Joel ....
