I have a L355SS and the fuel cap/gage is broke. I am wanting to replace it but evidently the cap/gage came off another model, not the L355SS. I was hoping someone knows what it came off of or the part number. It is a cap that has a foam piece that floats up or down to move the sliding indicator in the cap as to what the level is. Or if you have another idea on how to easily check the fuel level, let me know, besides taking the cap off and looking.. :)

Thanks...

Jimmy

I've never tried it myself, but I was told the cap/gauge combo from an outboard boat motor's fuel tank works for that.

Best of luck. ....

Well after spending a couple of hours yesterday afternoon at a dealer looking up different models, we were pretty sure it was an aftermarket cap/gage. And last night I did searches and found a place, Kelch, that makes the caps/gages. So I will just have to order one from them. But at least I know for sure. Thanks...

Golferdude; Glad you found them. We used to get caps similar to yours for H and M Farmalls from I THINK Shoop or Schoop, a mail order parts outlet from somewhere in Ilinois, I think they are still in business. Frank. PS, I know I'm spelling Illionis wrong, sorry if I offedned anyone from there. ....
