Just got off the phone with Kubota and was told that a gasoline engine was in production for a smaller RTV.

Also noted was a special edition 35th anniversary RTV 900 black and silver with spray on bed, chrome wheels, and other goodies. No word if the hydraulic valves on the rear would be part of this special edition. And I was going to buy a rec or turf model today- dam!

Also of note was a new BX 2650 coming down the line. Supposedly the BX24 is doing so well there are no plans to replace it at this point, but the 2650 will offer a little more power for those not needing a backhoe.

This info came from a regional service manager who just came back last night from the new product lineup in Cal...

I am awaiting a call back on what else is coming out as he had to take another call and said he would call me back later today. Will post when I hear something- this is better than Harry Potter!

Murf, I think he was referring to the suspense of the Harry Potter movies ;)

I don't think Harry ever had a tractor but I've never watched the movies. If he did I'm sure it would be a John Deere :-p ....

Sorry Billy, sometimes I don't communicate all that clearly when my tongue is stuck that far into my cheek. :)

BTW, I figure Harry Potter would be more likely to have a Massey Ferguson, British, and somewhat of a mystery how they lasted so long...... ;)

Best of luck. ....

No offense (or for Murf, offence, eh?).

I can't help but laugh when hear the term "special edition". In automotive terms that means "the model isn't selling well so make it look pretty to sell a few more" (like when we designed a convertible Ford Explorer in the early '90's). We also called it "putting perfume on a pig" (it's smells good but still a pig), or "throw more (losing) money at it (and that will solve everything)"

Rarely will you see anything being sold as a special edition unless it is anniversary, celebration or commemoration. Why else would they spend money on something already making a good profit margin? ....

Normally for us it means some nice options that aren't available yet. Oh ya, they cost a little more. ....
