I ordered a BX1850 from dealer on the 14th of June.
It is now the 27th of June.
13 days?
I still don't have the tractor.
I am waiting on a Vavle for the Loader.
Is this how long it takes to get parts from kubota?
I believe that the dealer is doing what he should.
Or am i just to hyper?

It maybe hard for some to believe what dealers have to go through to get equipment and attachments.
Would you believe we are ordering next springs tillage equipment and planters? That's right and if we don't have it then we'd better have a freind at another dealers! There are times that the supply might just get short on different items and I often tell people at best two weeks until I can see where everything is that I need.
As bad as it may sound there are times of two three and four months and some times more wait from the manufacturers depending on what it is.
You will enjoy hearing of this but often it takes less time to make the sale then to make the phone calls and get the equipment for the shop to put it together!!!!! ....

Thanks for being the voice of reason... Just was getting nervous.
I was an engineer that designed automotive fuel systems components for years. I just remember jumping through hoops getting things to my customers. I was in Germany by noon after being told to be in Germany at noon the day earlier.
Some times i just need to relax and have a drink.
By the way, I am the guy, who saved the guy, who saved the Dodge Viper. But other than fuel systems, i am a complete dolt.
But man, i want to play with my new tractor...

AL, BTW I'm the guy who worked with other guys at the place, owned by a guy, that built and painted the body panels including the removable hartop for the Viper. I'm also the guy that wrote the service manual info, helped work out design issues and wrote the owners operation instructions too. Did you work in Auburn Hills by any chance? ....

I am glad you got my sense of humor.
No i did not work in Auburn Hills, My main office was in Iowa, we only had a sales office in Auburn Hills.
Do you remember all the engine hood problems with the Viper? Did you have to paint that thing? I remember some of the chrysler guys freaking out about the hood appearance more than it vapor lock issue i was working on.
I worked mainly with the Chrysler Jeep / Truck division, pass. car (neon and LH) and just a few GM platforms.
Good times and good poeple.
Back to the point... I think the dealer is doing all he can.. Everything else is there, just waiting on this darn valve. My dreaming of using my new tractor is getting to me i think.

Businesses operate a whole lot differently today than they did just 10 years ago.
With the advanced technology we have today, dealers no longer stock most of the parts they once did. This is due to several factors, none of which is more important than taxes on inventory. Additional factors include cash flow, inventory upkeep and maintenance, inventory space, land prices, building prices, labor expenses, etc.
Excess inventory requires a lot of space, shelving, labor, etc. It also requires a tremendous amount of monetary investment. Businesses are trying hard to reduce all of these costs, and more, in an effort to compete with the cheap products produced in the developing countries of the world......such as China, India, and even Pakistan.
In an effort to reduce expenses across the board, dealers and manufacturers carry far less stock than they once did. Instead, the needed parts are made as they are needed. When you order a part today, your order is sent immediately to the manufacturer.
When you finally do get your part, you can bet that it has barely had time to cool off after being machined on the mill.
If you need a part right away, you may have to increase your own inventory. They call it "PROGRESS".......but it ain't all good.

WARNING---WARNING----HIJACKED THREAD:
AL The biggest isse was there was a car to car variance of 10mm---try building something like a hard roof for mass production for something that wasn't (the cars were hand- built)!
I do recall there were some SMC (sheet molded compound issues) separation issues early on. We painted the hoods, hardtops and deck lids. The racing stripes were hand-painted not decals. They went into a fixture that had 4 rotating red lasers above the panels in in-car position. Then talented mexicans applied--by hand--masking tape for the painters for the two stripes. Pretty simple but very effective.
I rode in one around Detroit for about three hours and was glad when it was over! Talk about a LOUD bone shaker!

Yep,that sounds right. I road in one of the first 50 around the chrysler track in Arizonia. I did not enjoy the ride either.
Everyone, thanks for your assistance and comment. I have chilled out about the delievery... Again i think the dealer is doing what he can. Backorder is backorder. He even called around to other dealers looking for one with no luck.
