Hello everyone, new member. I just bought a John Deere 755 compact tractor with a JD model 52 loader and a JD model 261 3ph mower and am looking for information on these machines. Previous owner did not have manuals (and didn't know what several levers and knobs do) and I would like to get basic operating and servicing manuals. This machine is older (I believe it's a 1986) but has relatively low hours and seems to be in good shape. From the checking around I did in various places before buying it seems that the model 52 fel is not that typical. Model 70 loader was more common? I know there are several places to buy manuals, but I didn't know if they would cover the 52 fel and mower, and I just wanted to pick everyone's brains as to which may be best sources for information. I'm sure I will be back with many, many more questions but will leave this request here for now. Thanks in advance for any help you can give. Bill

There are a number of places you can by operator's manuals on the internet by mearly doing a Google search. Shop manuals in some cases as well. I would be inclined to buy the OEM factory manuals from Deere as they are most likely to have the most accurate information in my opinion. They "ain't" gonna be cheap but at least you will have the most accurate and upto date info. Check with your Deere dealer. Frequently eBay has these manuals up for auction so there is another possibility which would be much cheaper. ....

I have had several JD 955s. I have bought several operator's manuals (tractor and loader separtely) on Ebay and one I & T aftermarket repair manual for this series. The I & T manual is only fair and I got it from Overstock.com. The Technical Manual TM1360 from JD is expensive but comes up on Ebay often. ....
