Any diesel compression tester will work, as long as you have the proper adapter tip.
What is the issue that you want to try to diagnose?

Your comment leads to believe it runs ok after starting. Yes?
If so there are a couple simple questions.
Does it smoke trying to start? White? Grey? Black?
Does it smoke while running? Colour?
Does it seem like it’s cranking at normal speed? Slower? Faster?
Finally, when you do get it started does it then restart normally if you shut it back off for a few minutes?
