Just some other thoughts to assure a quality slab:

No more than 6" slump when placed.
Don't allow over troweling, it softens the top of the slab.
Saw cut at 15' intervals 2-3 days after placement.
Wet the subgrade before pouring.
Stay away from high-ealy concrete, too many shrinkage stresses.
Make sure you have a Ratwall. You'll be sorry if you don't.
Avoid cold joints.

I was looking at the fuse pannel and there are a few empty 10, 5, 3 amp spots...

riggs, as I said in my previous post, for the 7800 you don't have to modify your wiring. The rear work light plug is part of the stock harness. All you have to do is plug in and add a ground. Shouldn't effect your warranty at all. Nothing wrong with checking with your dealer just to make sure.

Doesn't your owners manual have the recommended service requirements for 200 hrs? I'm not familiar with the BX series but the manual for my L3130 recommends changing oil, oil filter, hydraulic fluid, hydraulic filter, and front axle grease at 50 hrs.<br>

Starting to love my dealer. I am curious about if you purchased the attachment at the same time as the TZ24A? I went all out and got the FEL, 60mm, and front snow blower. The Boomer arrived all set and adjusted to use the FEL and the mm, while the SB was on order , still Fall anyway. In the interim I ordered a Woods tiller. My dealer used another TZ on his lot to adjust the tiller shaft and offset before I picked it up. SB is in and he is coming Friday to get mine to mount and adjust everything for use. Didn�t your guy mount any of the 2 3pt attachments for you?

Is this tractor a synchro transmission or the collarshift? The collar shift transmissions are not synchronized and will have scrap if you try to shift them to soon after depressing the clutch. I have a 1999 4200 that has the problem with scraping if i shift too quick.

We call it a drain field or conventional septic system, and thy work great around here in the sandy soil. Have the solids pumped out of the tank every year or two and it'll be good.

I've used a 72" Farmking/Buhler RFM the whole summer with no issue at all. It actually makes a better cut than my smaller 42" lawn tractor. I got it from my Deere dealer.

About the ballast box full of sand:
I did not use my tractor for a while in the fall (because of basement refinishing project). There was a funny smell coming from the tractor (parked in the garage). The cat is using the ballast box/sand as litter. Guess I'll have to cover it from now on.

The power steering on the 650,750,850,950, and 1050 uses the transmission case as the reservoir. The dipstick is between your legs in the shift lever cover. You fill it in the same hole.

I liked the looks of that mower but my mind just started wondering. To go to the bush hog mower that is 42" wide or the even the larger one with electric start. Set up a electric over hydraulic valve bank so you could put cylinders in place of the turn buckle so you could run them from the seat. Murf you were looking for a project here you go!!

Do check the solenoid. Have someone else work the ignition switch so you can be by the pump to hear or feel the solenoid work. The injection pump is mounted on and driven by the engine. Many injection pumps do have seals that when leaking could leak the fuel into the engine. This would give you high crankcase levels when checking the oil. When geting into high leak situations on high use units they often notice a leak from the crankcases from being over full.

There is a build date to everything. There is also a sale date that starts the warrantee and the tractor life from there on. Ten years and two owners later a salesmen from the same dealer that sold it to you might only give a trade-in value of the serial number or build date. I haven't seen a manufacturer that discounted for the end of year model but most will give a one time discount on discontinued model. Most sucessful models will carry nearly identical resale prices from year to year as they age. You could have a newer tractor that has a few issues and have a lower or more identical resale price then an older previous model. The condition you keep the tractor in makes a vary big difference in resale value. Remember that your used tractor some day will be "new" to sombody else someday. A clean well kept unit will be worth at least a year or two in resale value. A little tip while doing modifications, make sure that you don't hurt the factory controls or the tractors chassis itegerity and safety features as a dealer will need to replace them to sell the tractor. Thats about it in a nutshell.

One of the ways to see if the lines are in a neutral state is to see if the pins are loose on the cylinder that the lines operate.

Your tractor is out of neutral adjustment. Call your dealer and have them reset it. The only hoe available for that tractor at this time is the woods ground breaker X which is not available yet (Next month) . It will be sub frame mounted and PTO pumped.

sorry about the double post, after a couple says with no response, I thought a new title might spark more interest. It did thanks. Mine does have the newer axle. I checked the wheel bolts and they were tight. I barely have had time to use it (and boy is it fun) so I haven't checked much else yet. I did hunt down a manufacturer that makes the JD quick attach brackets, top and bottom that you can weld on anything to make it fit JD. About $21 for the top 2 pieces and $40 for the bottom 2 pegs.

Murf's right when it comes to CUTs with a FEL. With tractors in general, which have flex or articulation between the front and rear axles it's one tire rear tire that leaves the ground. With a skid steer loader it considered to be the rear "axle" or both tires as there is no flex between the front and rear tires (there are no actual axles on a modern skid loader). Now if you really want a thrill ride on a skidloader raise the loader up high with a load and drive forward quickly (or for that matter drive forward and stop quickly)---talk about pucker-factor---at least on a tractor you can jump off!
