Drain and inspect the inside or the tank for any foreign material. If none is found; remove the hose from the tank to the fuel bowl and inspect it. Try blowing air thru it and if it intermittently stops up for no reason. The inside liner of the hose may be coming apart and intermittently blocking the hose filling the fuel bowl. Lastly, check and inspect the fuel cap. Ensure the little vent ball inside the cap rattles freely when you shake it. The cap vent may not be opening and a vaccum could build up and not allow fuel to the bowl. Just a few thoughts I figured to throw out there and check. You can never tell what is causing this without starting at the source and working your way back. Suspect anything. Good luck!

This might help with the home owners coverage. In 1990 a guy run off the road into my lawn and hit me headon on a Kubota B6100. My home owners paid for a new tractor and a few medical bills (thank God) and then got reimbursed from the guys'car insurance. Travel on a road may be quite different. Oh, the Buick was totaled and the tractor had a broken bell housing and tranny. State Farm says the tractor I have now is covered the same.

They said they put water in the rear tires but when the front tires went flat I didn't see any water around. Also, because of these hurricanes we lost a number of trees. With each tree comes an abundance of sticks, twigs, etc., helping to cause some of the problems with the front tires. Problem is they shouldn't be going flat because I've run over some sticks to small to pick up.

Has anyone heard anything about or used a Sitrex finish mower? My JD dealer suggested one to me that has a 91" cut. I cut about 15 acres of grass each week and currently using a Land Pride side discharge 72" mower and my JD X595 with a 62" deck.<br>
Would the mower be too big for my JD 4700?

This is my first post on this site, I just registared tonight. I have a L 3830 with a front mount SB and it works great. I only have a 1/2 mile driveway and with 6" of snow I can travel at 6-8mph. Get a front mount compatiable with your tractor and you will love it.

I have owned my Kubota RTV since last April. Currently have 190 Hrs on engine. Have trouble with engine overheating after prolonged use in Med range. Engine seems to lack power at times to pull this machine through soft soil.

Basically, a Yanmar with a four digit model number is a gray market machine. There are some around with a three digit number and these were US-spec models sold in the '80s. <br>

There are a lot of older tractors around with that would sell for around $5000. Don't expect extras like 4WD, though. And the safety of the older stuff isn't as good (no ROPS, seatbelts, starter interlocks, etc). But don't cut them short; I use a '48 model John Deere M a lot around my place. And models like this will only increase in value given proper care. Can't say that for off-brand imports from China or Korea.

Are you 100% sure you don�t have enough room under the wheel well? I was sure I was in the same predicament, but fitting the chains with the tire pressure almost completely out (without breaking bead), fittings chains and removing any extra links. I aired back up and surprise, surprise had V-bar 2 link chains where I never thought would fit...Oh I forgot the tire was off the machine...Are your tires the factory stock size and what type?? You can look at my pictures and see my garden tractor w/blower. It looks snug doesn�t it? I now have plenty of room with no rub...

There's no way that I can justify our new NH TZ24 (60" MMM)but after mowing the entire lawn in less than 1/2 the time it takes with my Craftsman DLT 2000 (48" deck) I'm sure my better half will take ownership of the NH "PDQ".

So far, this is one of the best investments ever! It's starting to get a bit "cool" in eastern Ontario but I plan to put this little beast "to the test" this weekend by removing surface rocks and scrub brush. The FEL hasn't been used yet, but by Monday morning it should show it's stripes.

So far, this machine has been a pleasure! BTW, the dealer is #1.

I am looking for some type of a weather brake for my Kubota L3830 with a factory loader. I didn't want a factory cab when I bought the tractor but I would like to find some type of protection when I am moving snow in the north country. I want a weather brake that would fit neatly around the factory joy stick and the engine compartment and have side entry. Any ideas?

As a manufacturer, I always hate it when someone alters my products then bends or breaks it. My 2� is buy a bigger tractor that is designed to lift and handle the weight.

The loader jerkiness like Murf has said sounds like a cavitation problem. That is normal and usually goes away from use. If your steering feels hard at times it sounds to me that your fluid viscosity is thicker than it is supposed to be which could result in both problems(i.e. the systems oil flow can't keep up with the requirement). I don't have a Deere but when my hydraulic fluid filter plugs or implodes it gives the same reactions. I always replace it with a brand specific filter.

So, make sure you have the correct fluid, filter and that there are no kinks or restrictions in the fluid lines.

I have a JD 950 with power steering. When I turn the wheel to the right everything seems to work perfectly. But when I turn the wheel to the left, the steering seems to go into automatic mode. The wheel continues to turn left on its own. I have to jerk the wheel right in order to stop it from turning all the way to the left.<br>

I am thinking this is some sort of hydraulic issue but unfortunately I don�t have a lot of experience when it come to hydraulics.<br>

I have 16'12k tilt trailer. An 18' would be more ideal but fortunately it has a very long tongue and I'm able to put my bucket over the bed and behing the jack. I've only used it a few times now for hauling my tractor so I'm no trailering pro but it's nice not to have to mess with heavy ramps. Having an assist on raising the bed would be the cats meow in my opinion.

There is a company called EZ Weights, I believe, that uses some kind of a quick attaching system on the wheel and weight lifting [olympic barbell type] plates and is reportedly less expensive than OEM. Like others have mentioned you can add weight to an implement or use a ballast box.

I have had great success skidding suprisingly large logs using a 3 point drawbar with holes down the length. I bought 2 chain grab hooks that pin to the drawbar and placed one at each end near the 3 point arms. I use one length of chain with grab hooks at each end. I wrap one loop around the log and leave the grab at the 9-10 o'clock position on the log. then I hook into the drawbar grab hook on that side. I then hook the other end of the chain to the 2-3 o'clock position of the log loop and attach it to the grab hook on the drawbar leaving the same slack on both sides. Leave a little slack so you can turn the tractor. Wrap excess chain around the drawbar. Lift the 3 point and off you go. The log cannot roll and the tractor's lower drawbar bumps the end of the log to protect the tractor. It doesn't matter what diameter the log is because one length of chain adjusts to any log you can pull.
