Frank!!! No need to look behind ya, Ill cover your back lets go in ? I chose to buy the gear, New Holland tc 40 and have not ever thought I needed anything else yet. I guess I am from the back woods (like my kids tell me) but if I am not making a living by the hour doing loader work, why in the world would I want to spend more money on hydro when most of my work is done at the same speed. (Ok Frank here is where your covering my back, right?) If I was to buy a tractor for my " WIFE " I would buy her one of those fancy hydo machines but real men dont need those frilly do hickeys!!!!!

So if your driving out in the back forty and you roll your tractor 10 times and luckily you were able to come out of it ok will your house insurance cover the tractor to be fixed? I dont think so, maybe so though but I really dont think so unless you have some form of rider, and even then I dont think so. (Maybe the key words here are "I DONT THINK") LOL.
Better check into that cause New Holland will still want their money even if your tractor is in 36 pieces. Of course fire or theft maybe a different story but I think rolling it would be excluded?
Just my .02 and now a days that is only worth about .01

I can see the very first few posts more than likely spooked most others away from posting but I just saw this and will chime in. I have not been pulled backwards down a hill yet but I do use my silverado K1500. Of course I dont pull for a living and dont own any buisness but do occasionally have to tow a load or two. In my opinion, from my experiance, for the "occasional puller" Nothing wrong with a half ton. Of course I would like to have ,more power and weight but the other 150k miles that I put on a truck "including trying to park in a comercial parking lot) I dont mind my truck at all.

1*ag's have the angled ridges on them they are identical to the large farm tractors,
2*turf tires basically have little squares all over them, like on the dinky lawn, 3*industrials have wide angled treads, they look like those on the big front end loaders

1-3* My local Kubota dealer has new tractors with all 3 of these type tires on them

He also has a few new tractors with a 4th type of tire that has a tread design that is different than the other three.
Looks to be a cross or compromise between turfs and Ags or industrials.
Anybody know what they are called?

I used my Rhino 85 a lot this summer while building our new house.
Dug 880' of water line ditch 40" deep.
Over 600'' of electric line ditch 40" deep.
And over 500' of drainage ditch around 18" deep (still working on these, got more digging to do).
My Rhino 85 worked great, the only problem to watch out for is where the backhoe mounts to the subframe, I had problems with the bolts coming loose. After several times of retightening the bolts I welded my subframe to the backhoe. No more loose bolts !!

You know what todays problem is? Lack of common sense. Heck who needs common sense now with all the warning labels?! I heard of a case were some moron bought a motor home, set the cruise control and got up to make a sandwich and he crashed. He sued the motor home company... and won! What the heck???? You know why he won? because the cruise control was label auto pilot! Ok come on now, how many people believe a road vehicle will drive itslef? Whats next a sticker warning do not leave the drivers seat after setting the cruise control, you might crash and kill someone? OY VAY!

Oh to be on topic, How the heck many parts are in that box scraper? Mine have a total of 8,thats the two hitch pins, the box sraper itself and the 4 scarifying doohickeys.

King Kutter has a habit of putting the lift pins up to high on their brush cutters.
I lowered the lift pins on my 6' KK brush mower 5" so I could lift the cutter higher.
Easy to do and only took a few minutes.

AHH loader forks, my next mission! I would like to get forks and hooks on my bucket for lifting things, but havent had the time, and my welder is kaputz.

The thing that cracked my fitting was lifting the cart up to get the rest of the liquid to the strainer, that twisted the pump and strained the fittings. I no longer have that problem.

I will get some pics up soon on the tank, I think it looks pretty neat for something I slapped together over a weekend, took longer for the paint on the booms to dry than anything else :)

I got a Speeco quick hitch, cost about $160. It fits most of my stuff, the finish mower needed some fiddling with to get it to fit. The longest it takes me to hook something up at most is 10 minutes and only if it needs to be adjusted, but most times its 5 mintues off with one and one with the other including the PTO hookup, and away I go. I got tired of all eh fiddling with getting the arms centerd and such whenever I needed to change attachments and find that the quickhitch works wonders. If you do get one, you will find it comes with one set of bushings, and additional sets are expensive and hard to find, so I just get cat 1-2 bushings and cat 2-3 bushings and stick one over the other and keep them in place with lynch pins. I have also found it adds just the right amount of weight for when I use my tank sprayer. It is on a 2 wheel cart and when I first used it, it would tip back and drag the back end on the ground when connected to the 3pt drawbar. Now it stays level and the drawbar takes 5 seconds to attach. I just slap it into place, dont even need to raise the levers on the quick hitch.

Oh I know that one quite well, which is why I no longer take the loader off when Im mowing ot tilling. :) I was mowing my field and hit a rut the wrong way, started to do a side slip and I was able to catch it before the wheels hooked. ever since then I left the loader on and perferred safety over mobility, so it takes a bit longer to mow around the trees.

Any advice on the L2350 please. I am about to look at one with a loader, 8 speed Gear Trans and no leaks good service from the rental shop it came from. It can be bought for $8500.00 with no warranty though.
HAve you done loader work with yours? How is it?

I believe the 3 tractors mentioned (GC2310, BX23, & JD2210) are all rated with a "limited" cat 1 3PH.
As someone else mentioned, the "limit" is more to do with the max. height the 3PH will raise an implement.
This is due to a combination of the tire sizes used, and the length of the lift arms.
One piece of equipment which would be affected by this would be a post hole auger. You may be limited in the length of auger that will clear the ground in the raised position - thus the depth of hole you can make.

Hit send to soon. My thought is the switch itself may not be allowing enough current draw to operate the motor. As switches get cycled, the contacts can degrade over time. Also, many rocker switches are pretty basic units that are made in mass production for pennies. Not exactly something I'd want in my airplane or car. I'd start there.

Else you may have to trace out the wiring to make sure you aren't getting a bad current draw somewhere in the line that prevents the motor from getting it all. Finally, is the motor/switch/harness wired properly? Some motors don't like being reverse wired.

I purchased the Kubota catcher for my BX2230 and have been very happy with it. It does not clog and I do not have to get off the tractor to start another engine when I get back from dumping the grass & leaves in the field. When I get back to the lawn, just kick in the PTO at the same time i start the mower. They are expensive, (for what it cost I could have purchased a Sears riding mower with a rear bagger) but the one on my Kubota is so much more powerful and does not get clogged up, I am very happy with it.
I do see what Art is saying about getting one on a trailer, it would be easier to hook up and would fit future tractors.
I did not consider it when I bought my unit, I would find out if they get clogged easier because of the longer distance you move the material before it gets to the vacumn and how tight turns affect their ability to pick up.
