Thew pump house is currently 4x8x9, but I was planning to build a smaller insulated box within it to reduce the volume to around 75-100 cubic feet. The heater would be within that box, as well as the 32 gal bladder tank, the well, the pressure pump and the piping.<br>

I've already repiped everything in copper and insultated the individual pipes pretty well, but it's near impossible to insulate the pump itself.<br>

I figured will a well insulated box and a small heater, hopefully I wouldn't have to run it too much.<br>

I was thinking about in the future using a recirc pump that by using a couple of ball valves could be set up to recirculate water through the pump house, and the hot and cold water system of the house. I found some recirc pumps that are fairly low power (35 watts), but in that scenario, I would want to change the water heater over to propane first, otherwise it would cost a fortune to be constantly heating the water with electricity (not to mention backup power problems). I''ve been unable to find any low power small in line heaters. Just the big tankless units.<br>

I'm a little reluctant to repipe the trailer yet though as I'm having a little bit of a hard time getting financing on the property because of the older trailer (1974 double wide) that's on it, and want to make sure they're not going to force me to yank the trailer and build a new home before I dump cash into the trailer itself.<br>

Thats an interesting idea about putting floation devices in the water. What do you use, rubber balls, pool toys and the like? Or is there something especially made for this purpose?<br>

Where the one inch pipe comes out of the tank there is an 18" tall x 12" deep wooden box filled with sawdust to insulate the piping. Would that piping be in danger in any way due to cold water on the bottom of the tank even if the ice is only on the top few inches of the water?<br>

Also, I was wondering if a small aqaurium heater and air pump could be used to mildy heat and circulate the water in the tank. Not sure if this would be worth the power expense though.<br>

Temperatures usually don't drop below the teens a whole lot there (gets a couple feet of snow max), but there might be cold spells that drop into single digits. Unfortunately, those are probably during the periods when power lines might go down.

It would seem best to run the engine at at least 2/3 rated rpm whenever you are operating. At this rpm, you are running the engine at it's highest torque rating and in it's most efficient operating range. Running at low rpms not only makes heat dissipation difficult for the transmission, but also for the engine.

There are two hydraulic filters for the tractor. The hydro/trans filter and the hydraulic system filter. The trans filter is on the hydro case, and the new one will probably be blue. The threads for the two filters are different, so don't worry about getting them on the wrong stem. If you aren't sure, have the dealer mark the boxes when you buy them. You need to replace them both if you are doing your 50 hr service, and don't forget to clean the strainer.

Your problem could be in the joystick linkage and not in the valve itself. There are quite a few linkage pieces that control the spools under the boot of the lontrol stck. Pull the boot and check the linkage. It is likely that the linkage is worn based on the description you gave of the problem. If you have the manual for the loader, check for the parts diagram. You can match up the worn linkage pieces and get part numbers. Relacing the linkage is pretty straight forward. Shouldn't cost you more than $30. Good Luck

I have used bucket mounted forks on big and small machines, in fact my full-sized TLB (see my pic. # 3) has them built in to the bucket, you don't even have to take them off, they fold up and stow above the bucket when not in use.<br>

As Art mentioned, they can be a real pain in the seat warmer if you don't have somebody around to help as a spotter for you since the bucket blocks your view of what you're trying to pick up.<br>

On the big machine at least they pivot from the bucket top, so I can roll the bucket all the way to 'dump' then they hang below the bucket and I can see to guide them in, then curl the bucket back to pick it up.<br>

On my little machine I made a combination bracket that includes forks (see my pic. # 18) in order to make it a little more user friendly for things like picking up logs, root balls, etc.<br>

All right you put me to the test and I've failed on all but one! The 0-1 hitch I didn't find on any of the makes we sell that I'm aware of! The other part is they start off about 100 dollars more but there are 300lb capacity cat 1 hitch units available. They will fit on your tractor just the hitch arms will have to be wide and you might have limited lift. The two doors assures you of the product flowing better to the spinner.

Yes, a little over slow idle, maybe 12-1500 rpm (no tach on a BX). Yes again, about the same before shutdown.

Have an area 100 X 200 or less that used to be part of my yard till I let it grow up in weeds brush and small trees. <br>

1* Had the area brush hoged and it left a lot of small short vines and other cuttings that needs raked piled and burned.<br>
2* Also there are a bunch of 4" and smaller trees .<br>

Well, if you have teenagers, you could do what my dad would have done. He would have handed me a snorkle, a shovel and a bucket. He never would spend the money on rental equipment when he had a teenage son who had friends.

From the way it sounds, I'd try some of the drag line options people have listed or hire it out to someone that knows how to handle their equipment in the marsh conditions.

We bought one (6345)this summer...Got 300 hours on it and had a hydrolic leak and needed to adjust the pto.Pto was never adjusted from factory.I have used it for blowing silage up into silo,baling,and a loader tractor.My thoughts....Bother in law bought a Ford-NewHolland same size.Comparing the 2...His has been in the shop for pto,4x4(not working)several leaks.Price ..Mine 16,000...His 47,000.I can wear out 3 of these before I reach his buying price.Any thoughts? Mine replaced a 4020D.It don't have the power that 4020 has but will run baler all day on 1/2 the fuel.I cna't complain yet.It been a good tractor so far.Most bitch because they don't have one.But have a expensive one that they will pay for many years down the road.Mine was cheap enough that I paid cash for it.Will mine last for a long time or will it fall apart?They are simple to work on and maintaince is cheap.All tractor will fall apart if not maintained.I know farmers that buy every few years because their tractor is junk.Well you have to change oil and keep it up.I have tractors that work most everyday and have for 40 years.Color of them?Red,green,yellow,gray,and blue.Which is the best? Generally, most dealerships send out their lowest guy on the food chain to make deliveries. The best method that I've found is to make an appointment the day before it gets delivered at the dealership. Drive it around in their backlot, find out the proper fluids and where to put them and show you the zerk locations. If it is all rusted, dinged and damaged you can save them the delivery hassels and tell them to keep it.

Hey Woodie,

Finally received my TC35a friday. I had to laugh because all the neighbors seen it being delievered. So most of Friday and saturday I spent showing it off. I did eventually got to bush hog about an acre and it went through it with no problems.Everything seems to be working fine. Then of course it got to raining and continued throught the rest of the weekend so I did not get to do much else. But so far so good.

I will second the motion on putting to much weight on one side. This weekend I welded a hook on each side of my 210 loader. Well my 647 tiller also came in. So I was going to lift it off the trailer with the loader. It got it off fine but as I was driving towards the driveway the left rear tire came off the ground. Luckily I only had the tiller 6 inches off the ground in case that happened but what a spooky feeling. Now there will be a hook in the middle too.

The reverse drive isn't a problem if the tractor comes with every attachment that you need for the PTO operation as with checking for other customers I came up empty handed for people within companies that built attachments for them like Woods even having knowledge of the older reverse drives.

Some of the things I look at start out on the deck itself. I like to see a good spread on the bearings on the spindles. They can put on cast pulleys as well as having the upper bearing being within the pulley for the belt. If it is mounted above then for it to bea s close as possible. Grease fittings should be on all spindles and idlers shafts and the upper deck should be easy to open for maintence and cleaning.

If your local dealer doesn't sell the Kubota fluids, I think you can order them from tractorsmart. I would stick with Kubota fluids especially under the warranty. I once used Castrol Synthetic oil in my old B7200 and it didn't like it at all. Ever since then, I have used all Kubota fluids just for piece of mind for myself. Just my $.02

Tom is right on the money, you want a box bladt that is at least as wide as your tractors total width, it just works a lot better than one that's too narrow. Just take light cuts to your tractors traction limits and you'll do fine. Enjoy the new rig. Frank.
