Well my caretaker took the tractor out to dig a sump hole today and quickly fell through the sod up to the frame. Got real stuck. I guess the wetland/swamp extends much farther than we thought. Our plan was to dig a sump hole to pump water out from. Plan 2?

I picked up a new L4300 DT for 16,500 no fel though. its an incredible machine I cant say enough good things about it.

I have a b2410 hydro. when I start out in high the tractor starts to move than seems to lurch or jerk like something lock in in the transmission. It does this at any rpm but the higer the rpm the stronger the jerk. Almost like a very firm shifting automatic transmission shifting. If I'm in the grass and start out in high you can here the trans whine a little like its under a load then it will jerk or lurch as you start out. No matter how easy I try to start out in high it almost always has the same jerk. Some times in low under a load it might jerk a little but I normally don't notice it in low. Has anyone experenced something similar?

Run the loader and backhoe at whatever engine speed makes them work best for you.
To high of engine speed can make the loader/backhoe to fast and hard to control.
To low RPM makes them work slow.
My loader I run anywhere from idle to full throttle and anywhere in between, depending on what I'm doing at the time.
My backhoe works best for me around 2100 RPM, so thats where I use it most of the time.

What did the notification by Kubota consist of?? Did they offer to replace the defective part? How about labor? I am not the first owner of this machine so I don't know if the original owner was notified by Kubota or not. What has Kubota's history been on replacement of defective parts? Are you a Kubota dealer? I had the opportunity to buy a machine for about the same price that was 4 years newer, but had 2000 hours on it and I chose to buy the older machine with much less use. Maybe I made the wrong decision. Thanks for responding to my e-mail. I would greatly appreciate any insight you can give me about this issue.

Hi Guys,

I have the 4100 which is identical to the 4110, just a few years older. I love it to death, it has performed flawlessy for me thus, far and I havent even scratched the surface of what i want to do...I'm pretty much covered on attachments as well, and have found money (a lot) to be saved by shopping around and using the sponsers on this site. I have Mid west rakes, aerators, First choice tiller, Green Mfg PHD, Frontier RB, and Paynes fron forks (on the way). I find the Deere prices for Frontier, out of whack overall. I'm not looking to put somebody elses kid through college LOL....You have many, many choices that are good!!

When I make recommendations it is normally from my past experiences. I just met my second owner of L-3430 cab tractors that went to far! They have found that they need other mowers now to mow as they went to big. They are finding there wives won't mow, they feel awkward tring to manuver to mow and are looking to trade down!!!!! Don't I wish I had the L-series cab on the B-series last year! One does feel he still will keep his L but is looking again at the BX to buy as his wife loved to mow with theres. The others wife bought her own BX 2230 with loader this spring!

A few weeks ago, I bought a KKII 48" tiller from TSC. If you need any measurements off the tiller, I'll be glad to help ya. I have it on a JD 4110... so I don't know how that compares to your situation.

I've been trying to find out what the diff. between KK and KKII is for awhile now with no luck. However, I just discoverd that the www.kingkutter.com website has "standard products" and "sub-compact products" while the www.kingkutter2.com website only list "products" there's no sub-compact option. KK's servers appear to be down for maint. so that's all I know right now.

I agree with Frank I heat my greenhouse and barn with electric heat (use as needed ) kept low otherwise without the smell, hazzards,and inconvience of other methods.. having said that I would use wood heat as I do for the very coldest times in my home!!

I have two heatpumps (one up one down (useless below 38 degrees except for the circulating fan)!!to move the heat from a ducted fireplace with 4 heat vents!

Dean, your absolutely right, as our three boys were growing up drilled into them to learn a trade, do it right and don't rob the public and you'll never go looking for work. The son who took over the furniture plant is allways 6 mo. to a year behind. I allways as he was learning the trade stressed to him to never let a bad piece out of the door, that will say more about you than twenty good ones. We don't even have a phone at the shop, but orders keep coming from new customers as well as folks I worked for 35 years ago. The other two have found other skills that are making them a good living too, so the desire to learn a trade and do it right is still a good way to live your life and be a part of your community. thanks guys,i have two public sales comming up and they have these tractors. One has 695 hrs.and other 1050 hrs.They have no years listed ,but i can get that by their serial #.The only problem is to teach wife to retreive this info.by computer when i call from sale site.I know that overall condition and maintance can be as inportant as year.
