How stupid do you have to be to make a "diesel" can that wont except a diesel nozzle, not as stupid as you have to be to buy it I guess.

The size of the hole in the can and the size of the nozzle haven't been an obstacle for me yet.
The problem I'm having is where is the nozzle with the #2 Agricultural diesel?

You could have taken the can back and got your money back.

well i just got off phone with dealer and they will pick it up sometime next week. this is what I expected since it is new, but I was/am still miffed that anything is wrong with my baby!

some might find it interesting that he said they had one other with the same problem, so I am wondering if a run of them were mis-cast or there was a sealant problem.

funny cause i went out and tried to see if the axles were tweaked again but they almost seem straighter now. Yes if they were bent there would be a wobble and the first thing I did previously was jack her up and run it slowly...seem to be straight as an arrow.

well we will see.

I would be extremely curious to know if any other 4110gear owners have the same issue....

Thought I'd add too. Both Chip and Tommy have countlessly helped others with their problems. Although I have never personally dealt with them I hold them both in HIGH ESTEEM. Its good dealers willing to help that "make or break" a product. My hats off to both of them. No thanks necessary, you guys earned the compliment.

I am borrowing a bushhog backhoe to dig a small trench. I do not have the optional rear valve. Where do I make the hydraulic connections (Loader valve or manifold block). Sorry for the ignorance - cant find anything on either manufacturer site.

Be carefull of the rear axle housing and the rear bearings, not to mention the bending moment induced in the tractor from the couterweight. You can eventually couterweight about anything, but something will act as the fulcrum. Make sure it can transfer the stress.

Probably best to stay within the manufacturers recommendations for weight on the three point. Over couterbalancing could be a problem for the machine.

Ted - your a bag of laughs!!! Iowafun - I have one of those yelling devices to. The manufacturer should have redesigned it to require less niose & space. It's about 5'3", 120lbs., blonde hair & blue eyes. Mine doesnt let me get over 90 mph ;(

After my medical problems the little lady wanted me to put some sort of 'signalling device' on the shop, in case I couldn't get her on the radio or something.

I put an old double trumpet air horn set off a transport truck under the porch over the front door. It runs off the air compressor pliumbing.

It can be heard for miles, many, many miles I'm told.

There are also rear blades that have an 'offset' feature.

This allows the blade to move side to side, independant of the angle at which it meets the ground. Some accomplish this by means of unbolting the blade and moving it to another position and bolting it back together, the better ones have a swivel joint at the 3pth end of the arm nad can be adjusted by means of a pin and several holes. The real big serious ones have hydraulic cylinders that adjust offset, tilt and angle.

The link below shows the Rhino rear blade with offset. On the blade in the picture, the cylinder on the right adjusts blade angle, the one just visible on the left adjusts offset and the one one the back of the blade adjusts the tilt.

This is more blade than you would put on a CUT, but the principle is the same.

For some hydraulic lines I'm putting together I need to reduce from 1 1/4" pipe thread down to 3/4. The only reducer bushings I could find were galvanized. Is there a possible reaction from the oil and the galvanized coating? I know diesel will flake the coating off a galvanized fuel can but will a similar thing happen to hydraulic oil? <br>

To be sure, I'll look elsewhere for non-galvanized bushings. Even so I'd like any opinions.<br>

I've been reading these posts going back over 4 years and wonder if anyone has had second thoughts about their Power-Trac since these postings. I'm considering one for my farm that will brush-hog slopes and meadow, snake logs, grade and spread sure-pack (crushed marble), do some light trenching and tow granite cellar stones and door slabs and lift them by scoop or chain. We are in south central Vermont.

Over time, how have they been in terms of wear, parts availability, ability to do some occasional heavy work, etc.? What are the critical accessories in your opinion?

It doesn't sound normal. I'd guess it leaks down pretty fast when the tractor is off as well. If that's the case you might turn the flow control valve off and see if that stops the leak-down. On a position control 3ph that would sound like a bad poppet valve or adjustment problem.

I have the manuals and could copy one for you,for the cost of these units why would you want to build one???We have several of these woodchippers and other than you just wanting something to do it would be more cost effective to buy it today and be chipping tommorro???? Blue smoke coming from a diesel usually means there is water in the fuel.
